First Month

I cannot believe that we have been in our house for a MONTH already!  Man time does go by quickly.  I would love to say it looks like a home that has been lived in for years, but we are far from that!  What I can say is that there are only 8 or so boxes still full of stuff.  Mostly hidden away in the guest bedroom, you know that random not sure where we are putting it stuff!

As far as decorating is going...Chris' mom and little sister came down about a week after our move in date. They helped unpack boxes like crazy.  Riley helped by playing with H so we could get stuff done.  I am sure it wasn't the most exciting trip down, but it was very helpful.  Then my mom helped me get Miss H's baby room all put together this past week.  As in we finally have hung something on our NEW WALLS!!

proof that we hung stuff..
I have been debating hanging stuff because, yes I'm crazy and didn't want to put holes in our new walls. But I just didn't want to mess it all up.  So I was very thankful to have mom her to help me sort things out and hang stuff.  I plan to move on to the living room next, YIKES.  I still feel like I am figuring out what we need and want.  I think it takes a bit to get the feel of your house before you can just be decorated.  My goal is to have things all finished up by July! We will see how that goes.  I know it is making Chris crazy that I haven't picked out more stuff.  But I just want to know I LOVE it not am settling with it.

Let's see this first month I feel like we have done a lot though:
We hosted our first party on Cinco de Mayo
We had our first major tornado/hail storm
We had both families come and stay
We met new wonderful neighbors

All in all I can say this... we LOVE our new home, love our new little neighborhood, love our new town, and love our new little chapter in life.  Miss H really loves it here.  She runs through the house to and from her playroom.  She also loves having a yard! Life in the country is wonderful!  I wouldn't change a thing.  Promise I'll post more pics as we get things squared away here.

A family full of COLOR!!

Nothing says family like a family FUN RUN full of COLOR!!  2 weekends ago (yes and I'm just blogging about it) my sweet family came to check out the new homestead!  I would love to say the trip was all about our new house but really it wasn't.  Instead it was all about the Color Me Rad run.

We had the best time "running" the race! Okay it really was a blast and I am so glad my sweet nephew B wanted to do this.  Mom enjoyed it too!  Besides the color run it was great spending time with my family.  I love that we have a house big enough for everyone to sleep at.  No more hotels for the family....we even cooked out and just enjoyed the yard.  Can't wait for more trips like this one!!

Here are a some pictures from our crazy run:

Here are the "twins" before the race...poor H was a sleep in the car!
Little Bear and I before the run! The crazier you look the better!!!
Mom and I sporting the tutus Abby and Little Bear wore at another color run.
The whole gang before the race. (not my best pic...yuck fat baby belly still)

We found the YELLOW!!

 B after the race...what a colorful mess!

The color bombs going off by the dj!  Oh and did I mention that B loved it even more because he got picked to go up on stage and shoot the canon!!  His dreams came true right then and there!!!
Shooting the goodies out into the crowd!
Brian and B up on the stage!
B with the Color me Rad DJ!! He was so excited!
....the AFTER!!! Baby G had so much fun he fell asleep!
Another After picture just before we all went in to shower.  P.S. it takes about 2-3 showers to get all the color off!!

Moving in...

We are finally moving into the new DREAM HOME!!  I plan to get some pictures up here soon, but seem to keep getting side tracked.  However, we are still under construction a little too!  Every day there are at least 2 worker groups that come in to fix, finish, or touch up stuff.  Thus making life with a baby who needs naps AWFUL!!  Poor Miss H would like to just get a good nap without the dog going crazy or the doorbell ringing.  I think this week should be the end of craziness or so I hope.

Even with the workers coming and going we have managed to fall in LOVE with our new place.  Miss H is in heaven as well as the dog and cat.  There is so much room to run and play!   We even got to enjoy the JOYS of country living about a week ago.  I found this LITTLE guy behind a box in the playroom.
Not the best pic because it was by IPHONE from the hall...I used the zoom and still felt too close!

Okay so he was about 3 1/2-4 feet long and made me SCREAM like a little school girl.  Thankfully we had some workers here to help get that guy out and gone from our house.  Not sure what type he was but I am hoping just a rat snake!!  YIKES

Winston is THRILLED with the fact that he has a doggy door again.  He learned about that earlier this week once the fence was installed.  Oh and someone else learned about the doggy door too!!  We had one at our old house, but she was just crawling at that point.  Then we moved to the rent house with no doggy door....thus she is learning again what it is like.
Someone got STUCK trying to sneak out the door!  She wont be trying that again or so I hope!  Of course just like any good mom...I took a picture before I saved her!

There have been a few times when Chris and I may have lost the baby somewhere in the house.  Each thinking she was with the other person!  Nope she was off playing in her playroom instead.  I will be happy when she learns how to answer back when we call her name.  Right now she just keeps on with her business no matter how many times I say "H where are you?  H are you in your room playing?"  However, she has learned that if she gets to a room that I am not in she can yell MOOOOMMMMMAAA and I'll respond.  Then she runs into the room and say HI like its the first time she has seen me that day :-) such a cutie!

Here she was learning that she could climb into her bins in the closet...it took a few tries but she finally managed!

I think Chris is loving life here too.  He comes home from work and works in the yard.  He has learned how to use our new sprinkler system....so excited to have this feature!  He and Miss H love to water the trees together....also known as playing in the water while daddy tries to hit the tree but can't because of her.  We are all loving our little neighborhood.  Everyone is out walking at night and there are tons of kiddos.  Miss H's friend from music class is actually one of our neighbors how random is that.  They even walked over some treats the other day.

Here are the pics that I have taken randomly...not the best but a few!
Miss H's playroom wall...and then it will be her big girl room when we need her to move over!
Miss H's nursery, where she currently sleeps.  I had them do it just like our old house because I loved it so much.
Our formal dinning room, thanks to Chris' sweet parents who sent us their old furniture!  We look so grown up with this and are very thankful!
The kitchen...kind of messy but you can see we are enjoying it!
Oh the playroom now, with toys all over of course.  It is still a work in progress but she is loving it.  I need to get cute bedding for her big girl bed and we need to hang a few things so they are off the floor. One day it will look great!
The newest addition to our house, our new kitchen table.  We sold the old one with our house and have used a card table for the past 4 months!  We are loving it so far.

Well there are a few boxes still left to go through.  Then the task of decorating our new place....but I promise soon better pics will come!

A-Town Zoo

Ready to enjoy the zoo!

Miss H and I have been having a BLAST here in Atown!  First of all Miss H loves her BB and PAPA!!! She and my dad are hilarious together..of course he always gives her things she doesn't need but that is what grandpas are for right.

We also have been spending some much needed time with my elementary BFF Amber and her sweet boys.  They actually lived in Plano only a quick (ha ha ha) hour trip from us, but have just moved back to A-Town.  We have had a blast hanging out with her and her two sweet boys.  Big E is 2 so Miss H loves to follow in his foot steps and sweet Little E is 6 months old.

Our fun included a trip to the Atown zoo.  Believe it or not neither Amber or I have been to the zoo since we were kids.  Mom, Miss H, Amber's clan, and I all loaded up for a fun morning at the zoo.  We had a blast and man is small town zoo life so much fun.  You can pretty much walk right up to the animals...it is crazy!  The kids had a blast oh and did I mention that it was FREE!!  What what, yep on Mondays the zoo is free how great is that.  Of course I went picture crazy but Miss H and Big E are so dang cute together how can you not!
They loved the turtle..it was very active just walking around the huge cage.
Can you believe we got so close to these guys.  Miss H was not a fan...she wanted back in the wagon!  E on the other hand was a little more adventurous.

Of course Miss H was doing the sign for cat when she saw the lions...they were very cute. The 2 females were sun bathing while the "daddy" as E called him was pacing around with a low growl.

Heck if you don't ride in it why not help push it.  They both enjoyed pushing the wagon around.
Look it is the whole gang checking out the wallabies.  Baby E is even in this one!

Oh man the goats were so funny.  They were all laying around until E got a piece of grass and put it in the fence.  Next thing you know we had goats every where wanting some grass.

How cute are they both helping to feed the goats.

I think they like the goats the best!

Time for some fun...Just run free and play time.  The zoo was very low key since it was "free" Monday.  We were the only people once the 2 school buses left.  The kids enjoyed running around and playing on the playground.

Miss H even got to go down the slide by her self for the 1st time since BB was there to help catch her.
Of course we all needed a little snack after our fun at the zoo!  Baby E even got in on this one!
Oh what a fun time.  If you live in the area I really recommend going.
