Tennis LOVE!

This love is not the normal love in tennis either!  Instead it was all love for BABY R at my amazing baby shower.  Claire my tennis captain is the best!  She threw the most wonderful shower for Baby R and I this past weekend.  I am so blessed to have such amazing women in my life.  I am also very excited that my mom got to come up for the shower too.  Plus it is nice for mom to meet all the new ladies on our tennis team this season.  We joke on the court that Claire is my mom, well my tennis mom, and I couldn't imagine a better one!

I began this wonderful tennis team about 6 years ago...little did I know what I was in store for.  These ladies are my family.  I mean heck we spend every Wednesday night and Saturday together...plus weekends here and there.  How can we not be close like a family?  Okay enough with the sappy stuff...Here are the millions of shower pics, enjoy!   Thanks Claire you rock!

Pregnancy Highlights:

Looks like another non traditional picture week! But Stacy's pictures are a million billion times better than mine so why not use her's?

How Far Along: 30 Weeks

Size of the baby: Wow are we really already at 30 weeks! YIKES!! Baby R is keeping steady with height and weight...17 inches 3 lbs!   

Total Weight Gain/loss: Thus far 20 lbs as of last months visit!   

Maternity Clothes:  ☺ um yeah...still a fatty over here so of course I am wearing maternity clothes! HA 

Gender: SURPRISE!! We are not going to find out till Baby R arrives in January! 

Movement: Well this little one loves to move! It kind of worries me for what it will be like outside of my body, yikes.  I now can feel the "body" as I call it.  Instead of just a kick here and there...I can feel it across my stomach as if it is just stretching out in there!  I love the feeling though because then I know things are going great....as long as it kicks, rolls, and stretches this mommy is happy!   

Sleep: Baby R is just the best little listener (I told him/her to sleep when I sleep) as we both still sleep great at night.  

What I miss: Recently I have really been missing my old sleeping habit.....on my stomach!  Some days I just wish I could lay on my stomach to either sleep, use the computer, or watch tv.  I am so jealous of Chris who does this often! 

Cravings:  JRae's cookies...Chris was super sweet and brought 2 home this week for me! Love that man! 

Symptoms: Nothing major, just more painful kicks and rolls going on over here. 

Best moment this week: I have 4! 1) Mom was in town to help out! 2)We finish the baby's room (blog to come soon promise) 3) I had my first shower! 4)We did our maternity pictures.

Happy Birthday my Love!

The sweetest guy I know is turning the big 3-1 today!  Happy birthday to the man who has given me many wonderful things.  Here are a few quick things I love about you!

UPS man...may hate us by now, YIKES!

Our poor UPS man...well I think he is really beginning to dislike our house on his stop.  Let's see in the past 2 weeks he has come to our house um, 12 times.  Yes, that is every day but SUNDAYS!  Wowzers, poor guy.  Therefore me being the nice person I am I wanted to help the poor chap out last Tuesday.

Randomly Chris and I were both home at a normal hour, before 5.  This is rare for Chris not so much for me...but I think it was because we made a dinner date!  Oh I can't remember anything these days how sad.  Anyways, I saw the UPS man stop in front of the house.  Instead of making the man walk up our stairs and deal with our "ferocious barking dog". This is how our conversation played out.

Me: Oh I'll take that so you don't have to deal with him (Winston at door barking)
UPS man: Um well, there are 3 packages and I don't think you can really help.
Me: Well I could carry one maybe?
UPS man: No really they are large and heavy...
Me: oh my really, we just thought it would be Chris' shoes (he ordered some new ones for his birthday)
UPS man: No this is all from a Buy Buy Baby place?
Me: OH MY GOODNESS HOW EXCITING!

Of course the whole time we are chatting Chris is sitting inside just watching t.v.  I head up the stairs to tell Chris to hold off the ATTACK DOG because the UPS man was coming in.  He is like what, hun???  and takes Winston to the other room!

 Yippeee it is Baby R's swing! I have been dying for this swing because it is amazing! 

Whoo, Whoo our baby has a place to sleep those first few months...and on vacation! 

 And the most important one, the video monitor!  It is a must, that way I don't stress out at every cry our sweet darling angel will make! HA HA HA

Watch me grow, Week 28

Pregnancy Highlights:

So...not the best picture, but I guess it will work.  I was in a super big hurry before school so I just had Chris snap one and go.  Also that means sweet Winston didn't get his picture done!  He was a little sad, but a treat held him over, ha ha ha

How Far Along: 28 Weeks

Size of the baby: Baby R is now 14.8 inches and weighs around 2.8 lbs...picture an eggplant! 

Total Weight Gain/loss: Thus far 20 lbs as of last months visit!   

Maternity Clothes:  ☺ um yeah...still a fatty over here so of course I am wearing maternity clothes! HA 

Gender: SURPRISE!! We are not going to find out till Baby R arrives in January! 

Movement: Here recently I have begun to notice the "sleep" and "awake" patterns of our little one.  Good news is that Baby R is still helping me out by sleeping at night and not keeping me up.  Its odd how you can tell when it has patterns like this.   

Sleep: Loving that Baby R is still helping me out.  Sleeping like a champ these days, whoo whoo.  

What I miss: Let's see this week I really have missed being able to lay on my stomach.  Pre Baby R I was a tummy sleeper at night...oh how I long for those days.  Oh and this too...random but KILLS me, StAiRS!  Yes, STAIRS are kicking my butt.  Normally this is not a huge problem for people, unless they TEACH on the SECOND floor of their school.

 I don't understand how I can play a 3 hour tennis match and not be as beat down as I am with stairs.  Oh and what really sucks is on a normal day (when I don't for get something or have a fire drill or such) I go up and down our school stairs at least 8-10 times! GRRRR.

Cravings:  S'mores...and man do I love our PTA!  For our Friday lunch this past week, which they provide us, one of the mom's brought s'mores.  I love that lady right now and she has no idea!!

Symptoms: Same old, same old back pain...just by my left shoulder blade!  Also and occasional headache here and there, but nothing too major. 

Best moment this week: BABY R's ROOM MAKE OVER!!!  Yes, Chris and I have begun the first step to our sweet baby's room.  Don't worry there should be a post about it all in a week!  

Birthday love sent up to you!

As a kid Halloween and Nov. 1st were celebrated as birthdays in our house hold. As you may have read yesterday was my sister's birthday, but today would have been my grandpa's birthday. As a family we would all (mom, dad, Abby, grandma, and grandpa) go out trick or treating and then home for the birthday parties! I loved that Abby and grandpa always got to celebrate together. I'm not sure of as a kid she loved it but I always though it was so neat. You know to have a birthday partner with double the cakes and goodies. Well today grandpa we celebrate in your name! Happy birthday up there...and tell grandma we love y'all and miss you like crazy.

Happy Birthday to my sweet wonderful sister, Abby!  Although you claim you, mom, and dad were "happy" before I arrived in your lives....I think otherwise.  Who would you have to beat up on, call names, blame things one, and so much more? 

Who would I have:

• looked up too
• watched to lead the way
• asked to solve my problems
• annoyed to death
• and so much more....

There are more than 36 things I love about you...and for your sake I wont even begin to list them all.  Otherwise you might be reading this all day....ha ha ha.  

However, I know that one thing I wouldn't change in life is having you as my amazing sister.  You really have made me the person I am by allowing me to follow you around and dream of being as big as you.  Thanks for everything you have shown me thus far...Now your task is to show me how to be as amazing of a mother to my soon to be little one, as you are to your 2 precious kiddos.  Thanks can't say enough....but how do you show your sister you love them.  I'll use the quote taken from one of my other favorite people, Little Bear  "I love you to the moon and back".

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 29 Weeks

Size of the baby: Baby R is really growing!  Almost 17 inches tall and about 3 lbs in weight.

Total Weight Gain/loss: Thus far 20 lbs as of last months visit!   

Maternity Clothes:  ☺ um yeah...still a fatty over here so of course I am wearing maternity clothes! HA 

Gender: SURPRISE!! We are not going to find out till Baby R arrives in January! 

Movement: It's crazy how hard this little kiddo can kick!  The movement is crazy now, but I love it!   

Sleep: We are sleeping like champs over here! Thank heavens  

What I miss: This week I seem to be larger...and well I know this because 3 of my students have plowed into my stomach! HA HA HA.  

Cravings:  Nothing much this week, just enjoying my normal food. 

Symptoms: A few headaches but other than that I am good.

Best moment this week: Still working on the room! Yippee!!
