Miss H is 16 months old!

Harper you are SIXTEEN months old!

This month you weigh (guessing) almost 20 lbs.  You are now 29  1/2 inches long or so! You are wearing a size 3 diaper.  You are in 12 month clothes but some 12-18 month fit too.  Your little bottom is so skinny things fall right off.

Monthly stats:

FOOD: Mommy's good little eater!!

Sippy Cup: You still love your water....but recently you have been obsessed with water bottles.  Any time we go outside you have to have a small baby water bottle.  You will fuss and fuss for them.

Smiling: Such a happy little girl! This past month you have even started smiling at the camera when I say cheese!! I love it

Talking:  You say momma, dada, uh-oh, hi, more, mum mum (your favorite snack), hot, and papa.  Your new words this month are: bob bob, dog, and the sound for a cow, lion, lama, dog, cat, and elephant. You are trying to copy tons of words...soon you will be talking in sentences!

Sign language:  You still can sign back to us dog, ball, water, milk, more, eat, all done, please, baby, banana, thank you, cat, hot, cheese, bread, play, gentle, elephant, bird, paci (you made your own sign for this one), music, cracker, bread, apple, help train, truck, bus, and  flower.  Your new signs this month are bubble, airplane, monkey, bug (you made up!), and music .   I love how you make your own signs so we can communicate. You amaze me daily at how quickly you pick things up!

Obsessions:  Water bottles, airplane, and trains!  You can hear an airplane or train from miles away...then begin to look around for it!  Once you see the plane you want to watch as it flies by.  Trains are the same but we often can only hear them! That stress you out a little because you want to see it!

Observer:  You want things to be just so and can't stand it if they are off a little.  You also want all of your people to stay together.  Example if you, me, BB, and dad all go out and BB goes to get something you get all worried because she is not with us the whole time.  I love that you get worried and want us to stay together.  You still love to sit and watch others around you.

WINSTON and BOB: The love is still there.  BOB BOB poor sweet Bob Bob..you have learned that you can "pick" her up.  At least you try to pick her up and I am almost 100% certain that Bob is not a fan.  She is going to learn to run from you soon.  Maybe you will also learn how to nicely pick her up.  Winston loves playing chase with you when you have his toy.  He can make you giggle and giggle it is so dang cute.

Sleep: Sleeping in your new room is going great!  The first night you were out cold and daddy even went in to check on you.  You are finally a pretty sound sleeper.  I think now that we have a house where you don't hear every noise you can get some great rest.

Your hands: You are mastering the spoon...well at least you think you are.  You now will only eat your yogurt on your own with a spoon.  I think about 50-75% of the yogurt makes it into your mouth, the rest looks great on your face, hands, and hair!  It does wonders for younger looking skin :-)

Mouth:  Tooth count- 12!  MOLARS!!! All I can say is I HATE molars they were the worse teeth for you.  However you now have 2 sets on top and bottom really upping the tooth count this month.

Your legs:  Walking, running, and jumping.  Those skinny little legs can do it all now!  You are also becoming a little climber!  I love your little legs but man do they have bruises all over them.  Exploring the world is hard work.

Bath time: You love bubbles in your tub.  Oh and yes you are still in the baby tub in the big tub.  Mommy is going to be brave next month and let you out into the big tub.  I am so glad you love your bath it makes ending our nights so fun.

Giggles:  I can not get enough of your little giggle.  You make everyone smile with that sweet sound!!

Dislikes: Not getting what you want!! Not getting a water bottle every time you ask for it.  Not getting to go outside 24/7.

You had a few FIRST this month!

Your FIRST NIGHT in your NEW HOME!!
Your first trip to the Amarillo Zoo!
Your THIRD MOVE!
Your first time at a jumpy (Jump and Jive)
Your first major head injury (hit your head on a door at PaPa's work)
Your first time to meet your cousin Kyndal
Your first pair of Crocs for the yard!!

Favorite toys this month are pretty much the same:

Books, Books, Books: You are loving your books this month

OUTSIDE, you are loving our new backyard

Every month I am amazed by you.  You are like a little sponge absorbing the world around you.  You make my world complete.  I love how you give great big hugs and kisses! Daddy loves it too!! We love you to the moon and back!

Your SECOND Year!

Moving in...

We are finally moving into the new DREAM HOME!!  I plan to get some pictures up here soon, but seem to keep getting side tracked.  However, we are still under construction a little too!  Every day there are at least 2 worker groups that come in to fix, finish, or touch up stuff.  Thus making life with a baby who needs naps AWFUL!!  Poor Miss H would like to just get a good nap without the dog going crazy or the doorbell ringing.  I think this week should be the end of craziness or so I hope.

Even with the workers coming and going we have managed to fall in LOVE with our new place.  Miss H is in heaven as well as the dog and cat.  There is so much room to run and play!   We even got to enjoy the JOYS of country living about a week ago.  I found this LITTLE guy behind a box in the playroom.
Not the best pic because it was by IPHONE from the hall...I used the zoom and still felt too close!

Okay so he was about 3 1/2-4 feet long and made me SCREAM like a little school girl.  Thankfully we had some workers here to help get that guy out and gone from our house.  Not sure what type he was but I am hoping just a rat snake!!  YIKES

Winston is THRILLED with the fact that he has a doggy door again.  He learned about that earlier this week once the fence was installed.  Oh and someone else learned about the doggy door too!!  We had one at our old house, but she was just crawling at that point.  Then we moved to the rent house with no doggy door....thus she is learning again what it is like.
Someone got STUCK trying to sneak out the door!  She wont be trying that again or so I hope!  Of course just like any good mom...I took a picture before I saved her!

There have been a few times when Chris and I may have lost the baby somewhere in the house.  Each thinking she was with the other person!  Nope she was off playing in her playroom instead.  I will be happy when she learns how to answer back when we call her name.  Right now she just keeps on with her business no matter how many times I say "H where are you?  H are you in your room playing?"  However, she has learned that if she gets to a room that I am not in she can yell MOOOOMMMMMAAA and I'll respond.  Then she runs into the room and say HI like its the first time she has seen me that day :-) such a cutie!

Here she was learning that she could climb into her bins in the closet...it took a few tries but she finally managed!

I think Chris is loving life here too.  He comes home from work and works in the yard.  He has learned how to use our new sprinkler system....so excited to have this feature!  He and Miss H love to water the trees together....also known as playing in the water while daddy tries to hit the tree but can't because of her.  We are all loving our little neighborhood.  Everyone is out walking at night and there are tons of kiddos.  Miss H's friend from music class is actually one of our neighbors how random is that.  They even walked over some treats the other day.

Here are the pics that I have taken randomly...not the best but a few!
Miss H's playroom wall...and then it will be her big girl room when we need her to move over!
Miss H's nursery, where she currently sleeps.  I had them do it just like our old house because I loved it so much.
Our formal dinning room, thanks to Chris' sweet parents who sent us their old furniture!  We look so grown up with this and are very thankful!
The kitchen...kind of messy but you can see we are enjoying it!
Oh the playroom now, with toys all over of course.  It is still a work in progress but she is loving it.  I need to get cute bedding for her big girl bed and we need to hang a few things so they are off the floor. One day it will look great!
The newest addition to our house, our new kitchen table.  We sold the old one with our house and have used a card table for the past 4 months!  We are loving it so far.

Well there are a few boxes still left to go through.  Then the task of decorating our new place....but I promise soon better pics will come!

A-Town Zoo

Ready to enjoy the zoo!

Miss H and I have been having a BLAST here in Atown!  First of all Miss H loves her BB and PAPA!!! She and my dad are hilarious together..of course he always gives her things she doesn't need but that is what grandpas are for right.

We also have been spending some much needed time with my elementary BFF Amber and her sweet boys.  They actually lived in Plano only a quick (ha ha ha) hour trip from us, but have just moved back to A-Town.  We have had a blast hanging out with her and her two sweet boys.  Big E is 2 so Miss H loves to follow in his foot steps and sweet Little E is 6 months old.

Our fun included a trip to the Atown zoo.  Believe it or not neither Amber or I have been to the zoo since we were kids.  Mom, Miss H, Amber's clan, and I all loaded up for a fun morning at the zoo.  We had a blast and man is small town zoo life so much fun.  You can pretty much walk right up to the animals...it is crazy!  The kids had a blast oh and did I mention that it was FREE!!  What what, yep on Mondays the zoo is free how great is that.  Of course I went picture crazy but Miss H and Big E are so dang cute together how can you not!
They loved the turtle..it was very active just walking around the huge cage.
Can you believe we got so close to these guys.  Miss H was not a fan...she wanted back in the wagon!  E on the other hand was a little more adventurous.

Of course Miss H was doing the sign for cat when she saw the lions...they were very cute. The 2 females were sun bathing while the "daddy" as E called him was pacing around with a low growl.

Heck if you don't ride in it why not help push it.  They both enjoyed pushing the wagon around.
Look it is the whole gang checking out the wallabies.  Baby E is even in this one!

Oh man the goats were so funny.  They were all laying around until E got a piece of grass and put it in the fence.  Next thing you know we had goats every where wanting some grass.

How cute are they both helping to feed the goats.

I think they like the goats the best!

Time for some fun...Just run free and play time.  The zoo was very low key since it was "free" Monday.  We were the only people once the 2 school buses left.  The kids enjoyed running around and playing on the playground.

Miss H even got to go down the slide by her self for the 1st time since BB was there to help catch her.
Of course we all needed a little snack after our fun at the zoo!  Baby E even got in on this one!
Oh what a fun time.  If you live in the area I really recommend going.

Miss H is 15 months old!

Harper you are FIFTEEN months old!

This month you weigh (guessing) almost 19 lbs.  You are now 29  1/2 inches long! You are wearing a size 3 diaper.  You are in 12 month clothes.

Monthly stats:

FOOD: You will always love food I think.  However, lately your eating pattern has changed a bit.  You will eat one HUGE meal...and the other meal is more normal.  The funny thing is you never know which meal is your big one.  But you still eat pretty much anything which is great.

Sippy Cup: We found a few 12 month plus Avent cups while packing... you are obsessed with them.  There really isn't much difference but the nipple and size of cup.  However you think it is pretty awesome.  I not so much because they tend to leak more if you drink upside down, which you often do.

Smiling: My social butterfly...always smiling and laughing.  I love it

Talking:  You say momma, dada, uh-oh, hi, more, mum mum (your favorite snack) and hot.  Your new words this month are: dog and papa. You are beginning to see that you can verbalize things more which is great.  Your new words are very random on when you use them but you can do it.  I love seeing you expand your vocabulary.

Sign language:  You still can sign back to us dog, ball, water, milk, more, eat, all done, please, baby, banana, thank you, cat, hot, cheese, bread, play, gentle, elephant, bird, paci (you made your own sign for this one), music, cracker, bread, apple, and help..  Your new signs this month are train, truck, bus, and  flower.   I love how you make your own signs so we can communicate. You were using train for a train...but then began to use if when you see a truck or bus too.  So it is now a general transportaion sign in our house. Also you now do cracker CORRECTLY.  You now tap your elbow which I am impressed you realized you needed to change it.  We will continue to work on signs while you continue to increase your vocabulary verbally too!

Obsessions:  BIRDS STILL you are crazy obsessed with birds.  You love to watch them, feed them, and more.  You can sit in our front window and just watch the birds as they come and go from the feeder.  TRUCKS, BUSSES, TRAINS...these are new to our life.  You are loving them.  When we had story time this week you found a truck book and loved it!  Maybe you will be a bit of a tom boy?  Or maybe the move has caused you to realize trucks are around, who knows.

Observer:  Now you are a little more sensitive, not sure why.  But if you see something that doesn't seem right you get upset or fuss.  Yesterday the waiter spilled a little water on the floor by our table while delivering our drinks.  You were not okay with that. You kept pointing at the water, signing water, and kind of fussing about it.  It took me cleaning it up to make you happier! I sure hope you wont be OCD in some areas, yikes.

WINSTON and BOB: The love is still there.  I am pretty sure Bob is just happy to have a break from you this month.  Winston well he has gotten to where he just deals with you laying all over him. I love watching you chase him down just to give him a hug or a kiss!  You love him so much.

Sleep: Well this month has been so much better now that your teeth are not bothering you.  However, the end of the month has been a little off as we have been moving.  I expected as much.  No worries though once we are back home in the new house I am sure you will be a little sleeper.  Right now you just tend to get up around 5am...then sleep with me for a bit more.  I'm not going to lie I love our snuggle time.

Your hands: You are still trying to fine tune that whole self feeding thing.  You have really been working hard on using your spoon and fork more.  However most of the time you just hold it and use the other hand to eat!  One day it will all work out.

Mouth:  Tooth count- 8 Your top front tooth is finally all the way in.  You are beginning to get some bottom molars but they haven't pushed through yet.  I dis like molars more and more these days.

Your legs:  I think we can officially say you have a run.  I have found that you can pretty much speed off these days faster and faster.  You do a pretty good job of keeping on your feet but still fall if you get to going too fast.  Grandpa Steve bought you some new sandals and they haven't slowed you down a bit.   You also may have gotten "air" on one of your jumps...but I didn't see it your daddy did!

Bath time: Our baby tub may have to go soon.  Daddy taught you a new trick this month (thanks daddy) He showed you how to enjoy the water fall while in your tub.  Now you want the water fall all the time.  (basically water falling from the faucet) You also love having bubbles in your bath now too! You actually ask for them, which is again your own special sign!

Giggles:  Your giggle makes my heart smile.  I don't know how anyone could not smile when they hear a sweet baby giggle.  You love to try and laugh now when we do.  You are so funny! I love that you try to be funny and make us laugh also!

Dislikes: You dislike not having your way...typical! You also dislike getting out of the bath...I have to drain your water out now.  You are randomly sensitive about noises now.  If you don't know where it came from you are not happy. I blame that on the tape gun from making boxes for packing.

You had a few FIRST this month!

Your first Easter Egg Hunt!
Your second MOVE!
Your first time being homeless :-)
Your first time having Daddy pick you up from MDO

Favorite toys this month are pretty much the same:

Books, Books, Books: You are loving your books this month

BOXES, I just don't know why??

15 months going on 30! You are such a big girl these days.  I love that you are more independent, but sad at the same time.  You are just starting to see that you can push the limits too!  You definitely keep mommy and daddy busy but we wouldn't have it any other way.  We are very luck and blessed to be your parents.  I am thankful you are such an easy going little girl, making our move much easier on mommy! We love you to the moon and back!

Your SECOND Year!
