Love

a self portrait she took on my phone
Love is a funny thing...just when you think you can't love something or someone more you find a way.  I am so in love with my sweet baby girl! From the moment she was born both Chris and I fell in love.  Everyday my love grows so much that I can't believe how anyone can love in such a way.  The past few days Miss H has been over the top cute, smart, and exciting.

She is learning and growing so much that I just can't get enough.  I love to see her change each day...but then I cry that she is growing up.  The newest things she is doing that really tug on my heart are:

  • Kisses---she gives the most slobbery open mouth kisses ever, but man do I love them.  I wouldn't change a thing about them.  I especially love when she just turns to me and kisses me without even a second thought.  I love that she understands how much I love them.

  • Snuggles-I love that she is a snuggle bug. I don't know what I would do if she didn't like to snuggle.  I love that she feels so safe in my arms that she can fall asleep anywhere, I mean anywhere!

  • Waving-she loves to wave to people now.  I love how she does it too just opens and closes her fist.  After watching her I realized that is how I have been waving to her...

  • Daddy love-this month she really loves her daddy.  He can't leave the room or her sight without her fussing.  Daddy has really been eating it up too!  I love seeing that unconditional love.

I love 9 months the most I think, well for now anyway. I love that she will be playing and just jabbering away.  I love that she has new sounds and words everyday.  I love that today she learned to hear her voice echo as we looked at house.  I love that she is a problem solver and a quick learner.  You show this sweet baby once and then she can do it on her own.  I love watching her figure things out or even look to me for help.  I love that she knows we are there for her no matter what.  I could go on and on but I wont.  Love is amazing...just amazing!

Halloween Treats

Miss H and I began our Halloween fun with a trip to my sweet old school.  She got to dress up and go around with all the kids in the story book parade.  Everyone loved seeing her and I loved seeing all my old students.  Man they have grown....and man do events like this help me to enjoy being a stay at home mommy.  It is funny how quickly that teacher comes back in you and the stress of it all too! AHH so thankful I can be home with my sweet Miss H.

After the story book parade Miss H and I loaded up and took off for Plano.  My best good friend  from high school, Amber, had gone into labor (finally 3 days overdue).  My sister and I were super excited because they would share a birthday.  I mean come on if you have to have a birthday on a holiday Halloween is pretty cool! As my sister would say....everyone decorates for her special day!  We arrived just in time to find out she had her baby.  They like us keep it a surprise and many was I pulling for a girl.  Amber already has a sweet little boy and I wanted her to get bows in her life :-)

Welcome to the world MR. ELI TUCKER!
The happy mom and dad

H and were out of luck on the girl...but man was he a cutie pie.  I am so thankful to have gotten to see him in those first few hours.  I loved being there to feel the joy and love grow with their family.

After loving on Amber and her family we had to head home for our FIRST trick or treating with Miss H.  Thankfully she got a very nice nap on the way home.  Where Chris and I live we are not so lucky with trick or treaters.  In the past  3 years of living in this neighborhood there has been a TOTAL of maybe 10 trick or treaters.  I don't even buy candy because we know we will end up eating it all! Thus we had to figure out where to take Miss H.  I mean I wanted to get good pictures for gosh sakes...who cares about the candy!  We headed over to a friends neighborhood and began the fun there.

Wondering why we are doing this crazy thing!
At first Miss H kept looking at Chris and I like why the heck are yall passing me off and taking me to strangers....then why is the stranger ooohhhing and ahhhing over me.  But by about the 6th house she realized it was pretty fun.  I mean heck she got to pick out a candy from a bowl at each house.  She was a pretty good picker too, almost always getting one that Chris and I love.  I can't wait till next year when she can walk up and say trick or treat!  Hope your Halloween was full of treats too!

My first time alone

This past weekend was my FIRST time to be away from my sweet baby for more than a few hours.  Yes, it was hard but man was it nice too.  Something about leaving her with daddy made things so much easier.  I think if both Chris and I were leaving it may have been harder.  However, in order for me to feel okay about leaving her there were a few things I had to do.  1) get her to like the bottle again.  Since I had a break in tennis she wasn't getting any bottles...thus we had to spend the past week re-introducing them.  2) Prepare Chris for a day in our world.  He knows our night time routine, but not so much our daily.  Not to worry...I quickly typed up a few million things to help him out.

sorry these are all iphone pics...
Chris was a champ he stepped right in on Friday afternoon ready to go.  Come Friday night he had her in bed with only one fear...he wouldn't hear her is she woke up.  I told him I am sure he would.  Saturday they played and spent some time with his cousin.  Thankfully I got to Facetime with them and he sent me pictures.  It made mommy feel way better.  While they were playing and having fun I was too.
enjoying a mommy drink
I got to enjoy the weekend with 2 tennis friends.  We were at a tennis conference all weekend in Marble Falls.  The resort is just beautiful there...we have to go back for fun sometime soon.  It was odd not having my counter part with me.  However, we learned a lot and had tons of laughs.  I am thankful they put up with this mommy who may have talked about her baby too much! But all in all everyone survived and Chris got to see how being a mommy is hard work, lol.

So excited to see mommy again!
The smile on her face made my day!  She was super excited to see me again...and I was excited too.

Happy Birthday Queen Tia!!

Happy Birthday to the best sister in the world.

Miss H's dedication

On October 13th Miss H got dedicated at church.  Our church does a nice little service just for this on a Saturday.  I loved it because each baby got their own special time for the dedication, instead of a quick stand in front of the church on Sunday morning and move on.  There were a total of 9 babies getting dedicated ranging in age from 3 months to 2 years old.

Chris and I were so over joyed at the family and friends that attended this special day.  Of course our immediate family was there, but also many of our close friends too.  We are so thankful to have them supporting us on decision to dedicated Miss H and raise her in a godly way.  She did pretty good through the service.  I just wish she knew they were there just for her.  One day she will be able to look back and see all the love and support she has.  Here are the many pictures from the event.

Oh did I mention that her dedication was on OU vs Texas game day....so of course right after it she had to be changed into her gear!  Here are some cute pics of the cousins helping her open her dedication gifts.
A book of prayers and charm braclet from my sister's family.
I love love love this one...He is so in love with her and she is the same.  They are together the whole time.
Well we tried to get all 4 but all 3 is pretty good too.

Amazing the difference in a few months.  Baby G 2 months...Miss H 9 months!

SOLD....moving on to

Saying goodbye...
Last MONDAY we officially signed over our first home.  I have mixed feelings about this because after all this was our fist home as a married couple and family.  Also this was Chris' house that he remolded. He spent countless hours doing this and I know would have spent a few more years enjoying it.  However, along came a wife and sweet baby girl.

On to the fun of our last few weeks...MOVING! AHHH I can not tell you how much I dislike moving (blame that on college days moving every semester) but moving with a 9 month old, HOLY COW!
Thankfully my wonderful mom came to help us move or gosh we would still be doing it.  Needless to say it took a us a little longer that expected but we have done it.  WHEEWW!  To bad we will have to do this all again in oh about 120 days!  Now that is one count down I will be a little sad about...but happy too because that means we are in our brand new house!!

Here are a few funny videos of Miss H during our moving:

and some random pics:

Me...trying to remember what our sweet babies room was like!  I should have done this before we had a bunch of junk around for the move.
