A simple letter

Dear Blogger, 

I understand that you may need to take breaks every once and awhile for updates and such.  However, this past "break" was horrific.  I have blog post that were scheduled and now MISSING!  GRRR  I have multiple dashboard post of the same post. GRRR  Finally, you just make me crazy sometimes.  Could you please try to make these "scheduled maintenances" work a little much smoother next time (if there must be a next time).  Could you keep them from erasing post, please! I don't think it is too much to ask.  Oh and on a positive note, THANKS so much for allowing me a place to post my thought and memories.  Now let's have a better week ahead Mr. Blogger.

Dilemmas…

Okay so life is full of dilemmas, but recently I have been posed with a new dilemma!!!  As you have noticed lately my blogging well has been very RARE!  That is not by choice I PROMISE.  I actually have had many BlOgG-a-BlE moments.  Thus the dilemma…………….my COMPUTER!!!  Okay so it is on the fritz, last leg, or death bed as one would say!

Here I sit in a sad place as I am now faced with what to buy next! I have recently (okay for 3 weeks now) been searching for the BEST computer!

Here is what I am wondering?  Please help me out!!!  I mostly use my computer for: internet, blogging, and uploading my many millions (as Chris would state) of pictures.  I thus have begun to wonder if PC or MAC is the best choice?

PC seems to be an average 2 to 3 year lifespan for me….which can add up.  MAC starts off more costly, but may last longer? 

What type of computer do you use?  Do you lOvE it?  Have you had it longer than 2 years??  PLEASE HELP ME OUT! If you do have a MAC do your blog straight from blogger?  Do you have any problems blogging on the Mac?  Since I have a PC I use windows live writer (a bit more user friendly when adding pics and such)to blog from. Thanks in advance…I can’t stand this NON-blogging life I am living in currently!  Also I need to work on wedding photo books to save all our wonderful memories!   AH AH AH!!!

My 6th First Day of School!!! Yippeee

Sorry I have been the worst blogger ever...but I have a few reasons for it.

First of all I have been crazy busy working in my classroom.  The last week has been spent learning new ropes, since I am now a new school.  I have been welcomed in with such warmth from all of my new faculty members.  I have seen new light, new ways, and new ideas.  I can tell that this year is going to be very amazing.  This year will be very different from my past 5 years of teaching.  However, I will put this out there....I am very thankful to have had my first job at Contreras. If I had not taught there first I would have never know what "real" teaching was like.  My new school tends to spoil their teachers a bit lot, I don't think they have any idea really how lucky they are. Between the PTA and my principal I have received more goodies this year than ALL 5 years at Contreras.  Really it is crazy, just crazy.

Thus tomorrow begins my 6th First Day of school, yet my 1st First Day of Second Grade at Lily B.  I told Mr. Amazing this year would be exciting.  I know that the kiddos will be fun to teach and ready to learn.  It will also be fun to learn another grade level....I am now very skilled in K and 1, but soon 2nd also!!  I also spent this afternoon putting the finishing touches to my class blog.  Yes, folks you heard me!!  My principal is very pro TECHNOLOGY!!!  It is wonderful, because I too love technology.  I mean heck she text messages us almost as much as emailing.  FWISD had a web page provided for each teacher, however it is NOT user friendly at all.  Instead I have posted my blog link to my FWISD web page and away we go!!!!   I can't wait for the kids to get to post blogs on there too.  I think the parents will really enjoy our blog better than a stinky web page that holds very little items. 

Now for my OTHER REASON EXCUSE for not blogging that much lately.  I am having MAJOR computer issues.  Mr. Amazing of course blames that on the fact that I take 1000's of pictures.  He claims that I should move them to our external hard drive.  I agree with this but, just as soon as I do move them...I will need one or something.  Yes, I have taken and moved all of the pictures over to the external hard drive.  Yet, still my computer will not stop freezing up every 2 seconds.  His next suggestion of course was to use the Mac for blogging!!! YIKES, my windows life does not agree with Mac talk...I um well am not a pro at using that thing.  Thus I sit waiting every 2 seconds for my computer to stop freezing...and blog between issues! HA   I was hoping Mr. Amazing would help me you know by getting a new computer...thus far no such luck.  I hope that I can blog more and better in the future! Ha!!! (oh and this is also the reason you do see any pictures of my classroom...I will try to post later)

WEDDING MONTH!!

This cute face above!!! Yes, that one!!  Well he makes me laugh everyday about something.  Today it was the fact that I was barely getting out of bed and he greets me with “HAPPY WEDDING MONTH!”  

That’s right it is our wedding month, oh my!!!  So much to do and less than a month to do it all.  At least I know Chris is excited about the wedding.  I mean what other FI do you know that jumps up to greet you on the First day of your wedding month.  Probably not too many. 

Oh a little side note here: BE PREPARED TO READ MANY WEDDING POST FOR THE NEXT MONTH!!  I know I have told yall that my blog would kind of be wedding central, but now that we are so close I am 100% certain it will be.  Sorry for that, people.  However, if you not a wedding follower check back next month.  Most (not all because we still have the Encore party on Aug 7) of the wedding chat will be done!  Off to do more wedding planning….yes it is late and A SCHOOL night (only 3 left thank heavens) but I have tons to do.  Heck I can sleep in July right?

Oh my gosh....here I am coming in from a long day.  I just happen to have a moment to check up on some blogs.  I see that Girl with a Ring has posted the winner...and what do I notice MY NAME!!! WHAT, NO WAY!!!

Google, what will you come up with next....

Google you are amazing! I love you. I love the ease I have when I need to search for something.  I think I can probably Google anything in the world.  If I need an answer and don't know it, where do I turn but to you.  You are like my right hand man!  Life would be nothing with out you.

I then began this blogger thing.  Only because my sister said it was wonderful and a great way to share.  I loved to blog however I have not LOVED the blogger.  I was sad to know that Google could create something I would not love.  I hate the fact that uploading pictures and spell checking can not be done with ease.  Why?  Why must I always switch between old editior and new editor?  If I wanted to spell check it was the old editor...if I wanted to place a picture any where but the top of the blog it was the new editor.  

Many people had said you need to use Firefox or a Mac.  Google let me tell you this...Mac and I, well we DO NOT speak the same lingo!  Yes I know people LOVE the Mac...and we have one in our house!  However I am a PC girl born and raised, therefore Mac is another language to me.  Using Firefox on my PC seemed like I was cheating....I just dealt with the fact that I as a PC user would have to switch between the to editors.  Actually I have become so accustomed to this that it was like I never knew life before.  

Then Google you AMAZED ME!!! You created the perfect match to "Firefox", GOOGLE CHROME!  I am now able to blog and spell check right along the way.  As I type the GOOGLE CHROME corrects my every mistake!  I no longer need to switch back and forth between old editor and new to spell check an place photos.  Now I can just use the new editor (the easiest photo loader) and type away.  Google you keep me alive and happy!  Thank you for making an better browser.  Yes I did fail to mention the speed too...You can upload my web pages in 1 second.  You make waiting a thing of the past!  You have (in my belief) topped "Firefox."  I love you GOOGLE....THANK YOU for making my blogging life easier.  (P.S. Chris thanks you too, because now I am not cursing you out every time I blog; and don't spend half as long blogging!)
