Miss H is 11 months old

poor thing had a cold for this months pics...
Harper you are ELEVEN months old!

This month you weigh almost 17 lbs  You are now about 27 inches long! You still wear size 2 diapers.  You are in 9-12 month clothes.  You are a skinny little thing!

Monthly stats:

Nursing: You still nurse about 4 times a day.  Some days you may go without one of your day time feedings...but only if you are super busy playing.

Eating Solids: You eat almost anything.  You no longer want baby food but instead what ever we have.  You really enjoy your meals too.  When you want food it is all business

Sippy Cup: Still loving your cup of water.  You are getting to be a pro with your cup as you like to walk around with it now to show off.

Smiling: You smile all the time.  We are so very thankful you are as happy as can be.  You are a very social little one

Talking:  My little talker.  You love to chat.  You have recently begun to randomly through out a HI and then babble on and on.  I love your babbling.  You also love to use a sing song voice, so precious.

Sign language:  You still can sign back to us dog, ball, milk, more, eat, all done, please, and baby.  We have begun to use thank you and banana this month.  You are almost there with those 2.  I love that you can tell me what you want without pointing and crying!

Awareness:  You are a doing amazing on letting mommy and daddy head out of sight these days.  You maybe a little concerned at first but are easily distracted.  You also are aware of everything around you. You love to sit and watch....then maybe try it.

Observer:  You enjoy turning around in your high chair at restaurants and watching the others.  You also love to wave at them...and get a little upset if they don't wave back.  I love how you take in the world around you.

WINSTON and BOB: Winston and you have a love/hate relationship...he loves to sit under your high chair but hates it when you chase him around the house, ha!  Bob she is still your little look out....she loves to chat with you while you are in your room napping.  She also loves to play with your paci that may get tossed out of the crib!

Sleep: Well since we have been traveling your sleep has not been the best.  When at home you do a pretty good job of it.  You still love your 2 naps though, which mommy is glad.

Your hands: you use these things like a pro....for catching yourself when you fall, picking up little pieces of dirt, and eating eating eating!

Mouth: You love to give kisses these days.  Nice big juicy open mouth kisses!  Then make a cute kissing sound afterwards.  Tooth count-4 (2 top, 2 bottom)

Your legs:  My little walker...these legs don't stop EvEr!  You are a very busy girl these days.  You love to walk, walk, walk.  You love to walk circles around the kitchen and living room just carrying a toy or pushing one.  You are the cutest little walker ever.

Bath time:  Thankfully you still love your bath time.  Yes, you are still bathing in your little blue tub.  You do such a great job in it that I just don't want you to out grow it.  You love to sit and play with all your toys. You have recently found the foam letters and love them.

Giggles:  Let the random laughing continue.  You just laugh and laugh.  We can really make you giggle when we play chase.  I love to hear your little giggle.  Mommy's little happy girl.

Dislikes: You dislike being still.  Now that you can walk you really would like to do that.  You also dislike baby food...but hey that's understandable.

Things you are almost doing:

Running....also known as fast walking! Talking some words (more, hi) You randomly will through them out there but not enough that I can say you do it!

You had a few FIRST this month!

You got to enjoy your first Thanksgiving.
You saw Santa for the first time (not a fan).
You celebrated many Christmas parties with Daddy's work and mommy's stuff too.
You drank from a straw for the first time, successfully.
You took your first real steps...and many more.
You learned to give kisses.
You got to enjoy your first Christmas, and it showed!
Your first shoes! (size 3-6 month...little foot)

We are getting ready for 1...so when I ask how old she is she will say 1...
Favorite toys this month:

Ybike you got from Santa! You really love this thing.

Ugly baby (at BB's house) You found Ugly baby and have become baby obsessed since then.  Thankfully we have a few babies at home you can carry.

Kisses for all!
Shoe boxes...aka purses!  Her new shoes came in a box with a handle.
She loves to carry it like a purse!
sorry bad pic...she is on the move!
And of course:  Your wagon that BB and Papa gave you.  You love to push and ride in it.

Wow 11 months already... We just can't believe how the time has gone so fast.  Everyday you amaze us more.  I love to see you grow and learn daily.  This month you have really learned many new things.  I am so thankful I can be at home each day to watch as you explore the world around you.  We are so thankful to have such a wonderful daughter like you. Mommy and daddy love you so much. All the way to the moon and back!

The big red suit....

a family pic before Santa arrived
that scares most little people at this age!  Well, no different here in this house.  Miss H is not the biggest fan of Santa Claus.  I have been doing "drive byes" every chance we get.  Basically each time we are at the mall we stop and chat with him.  The last time she actually went up to him before starting to cry.  Thus I thought our Christmas Party at Chris' work would go better than it did.

Chris' work host a party for all the children.  They are so sweet to do this and it was tons of fun.  H loved seeing all the other kids at daddy's work.  Then towards the end Santa and Mrs. Claus come give out presents to all the kids.  They also take pictures with them and talk.  Santa and Mrs. Claus were over the top nice. I just loved them.  They could see we were not going to be the easiest lap sitter around....and well it didn't go without tears but wasn't as bad as it could have been.

As he walked in..she began to worry!
I love this one...you can see the progression of happiness to sadness.  She is so funny!

However, she was all SMILES while she opened her gift from Santa.

Good night North Pole...what a fun book for Santa to bring
Of course we had to get Miss H and Miss B together for some pictures.  Miss B is my good friends baby whos husband now works for Chris.  We are so happy to have good friends like them and let our girls grow up together.

So we tried a new attack with Santa this time.  However, Miss B was tired of sitting in the chair.  This is the true tell of how life with babies goes.  One is happy the other is sad, ha ha.  But it took Miss H a moment before she realized who was behind her!

hummm what is the white fluffy thing?
Oh no that man is there again....AHH
Then we had to get just a few pictures without the man of the hour.  However at the very end of the party Santa showed H his jingle bells.  Now that was something she was excited about because she loves music!  He was close to winning her over, close that is.

Julie and I with our sweet girls

always the happiest when getting to run free!

Happy Birthday

Guess who had a birthday?  This cute boy!  I can not believe he is getting so old...4 years old!  I can remember when we picked him out and brought him home.  Oh how he has changed our life.
Happy Birthday to our sweet first child Winston! We love you.

Greetings from Minnesota

Holly molly that I am just now getting a chance to catch up on all my blogs!  Wowzers...So after B's birthday Miss H and I headed home for ONE day!  Yes, ONE day it was enough time to unpack and repack our bags.  Thankfully I had begun packing our Thanksgiving bags prior to our trip to my sisters.  Mostly because at my sisters it was um in the 80's all week and then in Minnesota it would be in the 40 or below.  (the day we left it was a high of 17, brrr)

Headed to Nana and Grandpa Steve's
Needless to say we were up and at them early on Tuesday morning for our 6 am flight to Minnesota.  H did wonderful as normal on our flight...she slept like a champ.  We were super excited to get to see the Roberts clan. H was so thrilled.  She loves her grandparents, aunt, and uncle.  I loved watching her giggle and laugh with them.  We did our normal Thanksgiving fun while we were there.  Annual family pedicures, black friday shopping (in the freezing cold and snow), gingerbread house building, and of course the big feast with the friends.  Chris' parents have some friends who have joined us the past two years for Thanksgiving dinner.  They are super sweet and bring tons of entertainment to our meal as well as many memories to laugh at.  Needless to say there was not a moment without laughter and fun.
Miss H and Lily looking down to the basement...

just chilling with daddy

Turkey...mmm

snow!

Ready to cheer on the Huskers!

Miss H had a few first while we were there!  Actually a huge one!  At my sister 's house Miss H took her first steps....just randomly while Little Bear and I were chatting in her room H took like 6 steps.  Of course Chris was not there and she didn't really do it again.  Thus on Thanksgiving day H put on a show for EVERYONE.  She took over 10 steps at a time.  She walked across the living room in front of everyone (except Chris who was down stairs...grrr).  She took a few steps but life in footed outfits is hard...thus we had to get her naked.  Here she is walking for the first time in front of them all.

Not only did H walk a long distance for the first time on Thanksgiving day, but it snowed!  She got to see her first true snow.  She really didn't understand it but we talked about it anyways.  I can't wait till she is bigger and can run and play in it.

Random pics in no order:

Celebrating Chris' bday a little late!

Aunt Riley you are crazy!

heading home...

the cute hat we got from the club because it is so cold there
As our week of fun came to an end we got to enjoy our last Thanksgiving tradition of gingerbread house building.  Every year we head to the club and have a build off.  The past two years Riley and I have teamed up agains Chris and his dad.  This year we had H on our team....she was TONS of help :-)  You can see our wonderful creations are just AMAZING, lol.  They bought different house kits this year and I can't say I liked them.  I missed our red icing and such but we did what we could with our kit.

The whole gang all together

Our finished products!

We had a blast with the family and were sad to leave.  I know they were sad for us to leave too.  I can't wait till they come down for our next visit.  H loves them so much!  I know she was bummed to not have her Aunt chasing her around the room.  It was back to boring life with just mommy and daddy :-)
