Well since I am now married…I have had to change EVERYTHING…even my teaching items. There is this wonderful lady, Debbie Spence, in town who makes the cutest stuff. She made my old name plate 4 years ago. However, Chris is so super sweet he had her make me a new one.
Not only does she make name plates she also makes LOCATION boards. Chris gave me mine last year for Christmas…again a new name, a new board! Plus since I switched schools I changed animals. My old board had the cutest monkeys…but now I am a BEE!!!
Love them….both! They are so cute! The kids love to be in charge of changing our location too. If you want to see all of her other products click here. Debbie can pretty much make anything you ask for. Plus she is having a SALE this weekend!! Hurry go check it all out!!!
A lot has occurred in our 3 weeks of marriage….the first week was spent enjoying our HONEYMOON!! The other two weeks have been very busy. We of course spent a lot of time with our pup! We missed him so much…
The cute hair cut and bandana Winston came home with!! We love the 4P Doggie Dude Ranch…they are the best kennel around!!! We absolutely LOVE them…if you live in the DFW area I really recommend that you take your pup there. They live on property making pick up and drop of so easy!! The take each dog in as if its there own. Oh and their rates are very reasonable!!
Then Chris had a little ankle surgery…So well I have spent the last 3 days playing NURSE EMILY!! Also his family is in town visiting too. We have spent some great family time with them while they are here. He will be in a cast for 3 weeks (if he follows the rules, no pressure or driving), then a boot for another 3. I am sure at the Encore Celebration he will still be in the boot…but I hope that he is not!
Oh and did I mention….Chris did finally decided that we should sell
our his house. (you know so we can have an “OUR” home) Yeah so while I am busy putting wedding gifts in the cabinets and taking out the old. I am to also suppose be packing up the house so we can sell it. Oh and taking care of Mr. Gimp, moving into my new classroom, taking my summer training hours, and well watching my niece and nephew for a week. You know just a few things to do here! All in all I have tidied up the house enough that I think people wont walk in and then immediately RUN OUT. You know it is not at all how I would really want it to look…but for all the things I have going on, it will have to do! Our realtor is super sweet…and thinks it will go fast! Which is what you want to hear when selling a house; except WHERE WILL WE GO when it does sell! YIKES
I thought once you had the wedding things were to settle down and such. Not here at my house, here is looking a head to the next few weeks:
- Monday and Tuesday training all day…
- Tuesday I head down to EC to watch my sweet niece and nephew (CHRIS IS ON HIS OWN!! YIKES) till the following Tuesday
- Get home and begin un packing my school storage unit into my NEW CLASSROOM! YIPPEEEE
- Chris heads out of town the second I get back for work, BOOO for him.
- August 2-6 Finalize ideas, flowers, and plans for the Encore party
- August arrives with our ENCORE party on the 7th!
- August 6th out of town guest arrive and the fun begins
- August 7th Encore Celebration….PARTY ON!!
- August 8-13 Last week of SUMMER to enjoy…oh and WORK IN MY CLASSROOM
- August 16: Summer is officially OVER! Teacher work week begins.
Now this is just the next 3 weeks or so of my life….Oh and did I mention that all my moving out went well because I had Chris (and my MOM) helping me, but now HE IS IN A CAST!!! Maybe I can talk my MOM into coming back down! Looks like I am on my own for a while here. Hope your summer is finishing out a little calmer than mine!

Chris and I made it to the Bahamas with no problems…oh other than the fact that his golf clubs missed the flight! We had a very easy check in at the Sandal’s desk then were told that our car was on its way. Yes…Chris got us the VIP treatment for our honeymoon. We got treated like QUEENS and KINGS. We were picked up by a limo and taken away to our new home for the next 6 days.
Quickly we were met by one of our butlers, Melissa, who showed us every part of the resort. She explained what each restaurant was and how we were to dress. Then she took us to our little bungalow, pop open some champion! On the bed was all the info we needed for the week…they had even made all our dinner reservations for us. (Chris had placed them online and they booked it) Then she asked if we wished for anything else, and stepped out to let us settle in. We did just that….unpacked all our bags and hit the beach.
For the first two days we asked our butler Melissa to put our chairs out at the beach. It was so wonderful to know you didn’t need to rush out get your spot then got back and eat breakfast or what ever. Chris and I ordered room service for breakfast every day…WONDERFUL is all I can say to that. They brought all that we asked for even if it wasn’t on the menu. Our honeymoon pretty much was
The rest of the days we asked our Perez to set up our chairs at the quiet pool. What a wonderful life…ask for it and you get it! LOVE THAT!! We ate at all the wonderful restaurants. I think my favorite as far as food was the Italian one the first night. Then my favorite as far as setting was Gordon's on the pier…come on you site in the ocean at sun set!!!
During the day we lounged at the pool or beach…and at night we watched the sunset. They had some fun entertainment too. The comedian was probably the best. He made both of us laugh a lot! There was a piano bar too, which was neat. You would sit at the piano and then have a song book. The pianist would call out the number everyone would find the song and SING!! Pretty funny to listen to; we enjoyed a good laugh there too. Other than that we just had a ball.
On Wednesday we went into town in the morning. We too the local bus, which was fun. It cost a whole $2.50 for us both to ride to town….then we did some shop, shop, shopping! We went into all the little shops and just enjoyed the day in town.
After shopping we were hungry….thankfully Perez our AMAZING butler left us some cheese and crackers! Then we head back to our spot, the beach chairs. We also did some kayaking too. Chris enjoyed catching some speed and just checking out the area. He was a pretty good captain too. Thursday was reserved for snorkeling. Now there were some beautiful fish out there. The water is so clear it makes snorkeling very easy. We got some great pics, Chris even did a video I’ll post that in a bit…
We were so sad when it was SATURDAY! That meant it was time to head home…BOOOOOO!!! Although it will be nice to see our pup and cat I still was so sad to leave. Chris and I enjoyed every single minute of our honeymoon. We loved having some time together and well just hanging out. I can’t wait till we go back…(hint hint hint Chris).
Here are tons of pics:
