Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween from the Robert's Clan!
Our little basketball player...
Keeping the ball safe too!

Happy Birthday to you!!

Happy Birthday to my sweet wonderful sister, Abby!  Although you claim you, mom, and dad were "happy" before I arrived in your lives....I think otherwise.  Who would you have to beat up on, call names, blame things one, and so much more?

Who would I have:
  • looked up too
  • watched to lead the way
  • asked to solve my problems
  • annoyed to death
  • and so much more....
There are more than 36 things I love about you...and for your sake I wont even begin to list them all.  Otherwise you might be reading this all day....ha ha ha.

However, I know that one thing I wouldn't change in life is having you as my amazing sister.  You really have made me the person I am by allowing me to follow you around and dream of being as big as you.  Thanks for everything you have shown me thus far...Now your task is to show me how to be as amazing of a mother to my soon to be little one, as you are to your 2 precious kiddos.  Thanks can't say enough....but how do you show your sister you love them.  I'll use the quote taken from one of my other favorite people, Little Bear  "I love you to the moon and back".

Have a spook-tackular birthday as always! Love you to pieces!!

Maternity Clothes:  ☺ um yeah...still a fatty over here so of course I am wearing maternity clothes! HA

Gender: SURPRISE!! We are not going to find out till Baby R arrives in January!

Movement: It's crazy how hard this little kiddo can kick!  The movement is crazy now, but I love it!

Watch me grow, week 27

Pregnancy Highlights:
Showing my OU spirit, pre the stupid Red Raiders beating us...

How Far Along: 27 Weeks
Third Trimester...the home stretch!

Size of the baby: Baby R is now 14 1/2 inches and weighs in at aprox. the weight of a head of cauliflower.

Total Weight Gain/loss: Thus far 20 lbs!! I hate to type that!

Maternity Clothes:  Loving the comfiness of my leggings....the best thing ever for a prego woman☺

Gender: SURPRISE!! We are not going to find out till Baby R arrives in January!

Movement: Wow...I told Chris it feels like an earthquake in there some times.  Ha, recently I have noticed the difference between kicks and "rolls" or so I call it.  When I can feel it literally move all the way from top to bottom (I picture it doing flips).

Sleep: Sleeping great, I have "spoken" to Baby R about when I sleep she/he does too.  Thus far our little baby is a very good listener.

What I miss: Well lets see bending over.  I have pretty much learned that if I don't really NEED to bend over then don't.  I have about 3 kids at school who are very trained to pick up things if I drop/need it from the floor....love those kids!

Cravings:  Nothing really this week.

Symptoms: Back pain still but not where all my books say it should be.  Grrrr  I have become bff's with my heating pad.  It is just beside my left shoulder blade that kills me...grrr!

Best moment this week: Drummm roollll please! We registered with the hospital.  Thus technically we could have our baby at any time...yet I would like to keep cooking he/she till January as planned.  However, if something were to happen we would be good to go with the hospital.  How crazy is that?

Warning....TMI alert!

I want to warn those of you reading that this post could be TMI as in it will be about breast feeding and birth stuff!!!  STOP NOW if you don't want to "hear" read it!

On Tuesday, I had my 27 week check up and the nasty blood glucose test!  But mostly I received good insight on what to expect here in my 3rd trimester.  You know the MUST DO items before Baby R arrives.  Funny, but I just don't think or feel like I should be this far along now.  I mean it is crazy that in 3 months we will have our little bundle of joy in our ARMS! I still can't believe how fast the time has gone.  Chris is super excited and would take Baby R now....but I keep telling him the longer in the oven the better :-)

Needless to say we have been given the following instructions:
  • go online and register with the hospital (must be done before 35 weeks)
  • find Baby R a pediatrician
  • sign up for classes....as in birth classes, nursing classes, and safety classes
  • make my "birth plan" (more on this in a bit)
Okay so I was floored when she was telling me I needed to register with the hospital....glad Chris was there to remember everything because I think I was in shock at that point!  Now the pediatrician we have been talking about for a month. I think we have found 2 options for a good one.  On the classes, I do want to get those done pretty much asap.  I am afraid with all the holidays coming up we need to get them done now or it maybe hard to fit them in.

Now on this "birth plan" business....Okay I have read in a few of my books that I need to make one, but wasn't 100 percent sure what all that meant and such.  Therefore, since I knew I was heading to the Dr. this week I felt like I could just ask her what it was and if I REALLY needed one.  She laughed at me at first.  Then she said that many mom's-to-be have an idea of what they want their birth experience to be like.  To ensure they have that "perfect" experience they create a birth plan so everyone (as in Dr., nurses, and such) will be aware of their request.  Okay if you know me I have one PLAN for this BIRTH!  DRUGS, drugs, DrUgS, dRuGs, and more DRUGS!!!!  Sorry if you are the all natural kind of gal...this gal here carrying Baby R, well she likes her meds and the PAIN FREE idea of birth. (here is an example of a birth plan you can fill out....but just google it there are tons to choose from)

Thus I asked my Dr. if I needed to make a plan to tell them I want DRUGS the SeCoNd I walk in the DOOR.  She kind of laughed.  Then I did add in that I would like for no one to really eat in the room.  She asked why?  I said well if I can't really eat I don't want to watch others do so.  That is when I learned....I can have food if I wish!  She said labor is hard work and if your hungry she would like you to eat.  This way you have energy for the "pushing" part.  ❤❤ I love my Dr.❤❤ Guess now I just need to WRITE down that I want DRUGS for my "birth plan".

Now on to the other HAPPY news, besides my drugs and food! Ha ha ha.  Chris' mom had asked me the other night if I thought my insurance would cover my breast pump.  I remember when my sister bought her two pumps it was NOT covered by insurance.  However, I talked with Chris and asked if he would call and check in on that.  YIPPEE!! Come to find out all breast pump and breast pump items (aka nipple shields, replacement parts, breast pads) are covered on my insurance 100%.  I LOVE my husband for calling on this!!!  I did think there must be a catch, you know only a certain brand or place to purchase it.  Nope, I can go buy my pump from any where and it can be any brand and they will reimburse us 100%.  How super is that?  So you soon to be moms....call your insurance and double check that.  The worst they can do is say NO!

Oh yeah and my results came back today!  I did great on my test!! Which means I don't have to go back and do the awful 4 hour test, YIPPEE.  Also that means I don't have gestational diabetes. All in all I found this last visit to the Dr. very informative and I eye opening.  Did I mention that next month is our official LAST MONTHLY visit...then it is every 2 weeks! YIKES!

Watch me grow, Week 26

Pregnancy Highlights:
Man...I think this is not the best outfit...yikes I'm huge looking!

How Far Along: 26 Weeks
The end of the 2nd Trimester, YIKES!!

Size of the baby: Baby R is now 14 1/2 inches and weighs in at aprox. 2 lbs.

Total Weight Gain/loss: Well another Dr's apt today....and I'm 4 pounds heaver, YIKES!!

Maternity Clothes:  Finally fall has arrived...so I am enjoying my fall clothes more!

Gender: SURPRISE!! We are not going to find out till Baby R arrives in January!

Movement: Holly Cow!!  This baby is really moving these days.  Not only that but the kicks and pokes are getting much stronger!

Sleep: Sleep couldn't be better...and I am still loving life with my crazy dreams, ha.

What I miss: Hum, this week I can't say I am missing much of anything.  Actually I do miss my independence...as in not having to ask for help with lifting and such. That's all

Cravings:  Sweets this week.  I think it because I knew I had that silly blood glucose test today...so the more I tried to stay away the more I wanted it.

Symptoms: Back pain has arrived again....which means one of two things (yes this could be TMI) A) I need a bigger bra AGAIN!!!
B) The books are right and your back hurts come the 3rd trimester.
I'm kind of hoping it is just a bra issue...at least I can fix that :-)

Best moment this week: So many good things this week! Getting to spend the weekend with my sister and her family.  I loved being around them!  Then TODAY minus the nasty glucose test, Chris and I heard our sweet baby's heart beat!  That sound is just so reassuring to me, I love it.  Oh and my mom and dad bought all of Baby R's furniture....plus a surprise gift! Can't wait!

Family and Tennis who could ask for more?

This weekend got off to an early start as I took off Friday for our tennis tournament.  My wonderful woman's combo tennis team made it to sectionals...which was in Waco.  We headed out pretty early to make it there in time for our first match at 10 am.  Not only was it a wonderful tennis weekend...but my sister and crew got to come up too.  Our 10 am match didn't go as well as we would have liked, we only won 1 out of 3....but that is okay.  Then just in time for lunch shows up the family.

Keep in mind my poor sister and family have not seen me in my full ROUNDNESS!  Plus my sweet nephew is about to be 4 so he is not so sure about the "fat tummy" as he kept saying.  HA HA HA! After our great lunch it was time for round two of tennis!   I played this round, and boy was it fun.  First off we played some ladies that were scared to death of me because I was pregnant.   It's like I had the plaque or something...they kept saying we have to play you.  But no worries as we won our match fairly quickly!  Also I got to enjoy listening to Little Bear and Monkey cheering me on.  It was not Little Bears first tennis watching, but she kept explaining to Monkey what was going on.  It was super cute and they did a great job of being quite when needed.  Plus I think my sister and brother in law got a kick at watching my fat butt try to run to those short balls.  I can only imagine what I look like out there.

After our team won the second round everyone was ready to head home.  We had another match on Saturday at 11 to be back here for.  I however, didn't head home instead I followed Abby and them to go old College Station.  They were going to the Aggie game Sat. morning and it too was at 11....so we got to have a little "birthday" weekend (To celebrate mine, Oct 6, my brother in law Brian's, Oct 17, and my sister's, Oct 31).  We had a blast camping out in the house.  It was fun even with all the crazy issues that came up....one being my air mattress having a HOLE! YIKES!!!

Opening the gifts Little Bear gave me...a pez dispenser love it!
Also they picked out a a mirror for the car for Baby R and a pull down bird!

and then....I got our high chair I wanted so badly! They are too good to me!!

here we are camping out...he he he

Birthday breakfast for Brian

proof that she loved the fountain of chocolate....

Saying good bye, we hate leaving each other.

Abby, Baby R, and I
Brian wanted to do his birthday breakfast at Golden Corral.....mmmm it was so exciting to have so many choices for food.  Little Bear learned to love the chocolate fountain very quickly.  I just enjoyed all of it! HA..After breakfast I had to head back to Waco for our match.  Plus Little Monkey was ready to head over to the Aggie game.

Back in Waco we won the third round, which was wonderful....but since there were 3 teams we needed the team we lost to (Austin) to lose their match so we could move on.  Even though we did great stupid Austin won too...thus kicking us out! BOO!  But it was fun no matter what I guess that is all that matters.    All in all it was an amazing weekend!  I got to enjoy good tennis..but most of all I got to enjoy my family! Now back to work again, boo.

Desperate Pregnant woman seeking help, PLEASE!

Okay, okay, okay I know I am a little crazy.  However, I am now as of TODAY beginning the 3rd trimester.  Thus I feel as though we should be narrowing down all baby decisions.  The one that is currently has continuously been an issue is a GiRl BaBy NaMe!!

We are set on our little boy name (which I will share closer to the due date), thus making me feel so bad for our baby if it is a girl.  Then again I keep thinking since we can't find a girl name we LOVE it must be a boy in there.  I know its all a mess over here.  I reach out my arms to you all, my sweet blog readers and THANK YOU in advance for all the wonderful names sent our way.  Please help! I am becoming a CRAZY pregnant woman...Yes, I am really. I mean I have gone as far as to....

  • searched for hours online at all baby name sites
  • stalked our church nursery reading the backs of each little girl's outfit
  • asked all my close friends and family (who even hated some of my choices, ha)
  • even asked random strangers...I'm that desperate!
Oh and did I mention what a crazy woman I was when it comes to names...ha ha ha! I blame the inner teacher in me.  You see I of course will not use certain names that have been ruined by small children who misbehave or act just out of control in class.  Something about yelling or constantly saying that kids name for a year can ruin it for you!  Then you have the logic that goes with filling out scan-tron test and bubbling in your name...you don't want it too long!   Oh and I like to use first names for first names...YIKES! I told you my crazy teacher came out in me here.  However, I know you can help...PLEASE I am begging you.

Thank you's just aren't enough here....

How in the world can a child that is not even born be so spoiled already?  Okay, okay, okay I know that is a silly question, but man is Baby R so very lucky.  Between my parents, Chris' parents, and my aunt and uncle Baby R will have the best room in town.

My wonderful Aunt Sally and Uncle Joe were so sweet to send Baby R the first piece to it's room.  Here is the lamp that matches all of our decor.  Isn't it so stinking cute?

Here is the lamp shade!
The next day was followed by this....

a HUGE box that was from Chris' parents!  They had offered to help us out with the bedding for our room, little did I realize how much they would really get.  I am so overjoyed with everything that was given to us and Baby R!  Look at all the goodies!

So sweet of them....even if our baby is really a Sooner! Ha, ha ha

Wow, Wow, Wow! That is really all I can say.  They got us 2 crib sheets, 2 changing pad covers, the 4 piece bed set....bumpers, sheet, bed skirt, blanket..... the other super soft comfy blanket (that I love), the mobil, 3 picture frames (super cute too), and the hooded towel for Baby R after bath time!  AMAZING! I can't believe all the goodies that they gave us!

Oh and did I mention that up next on Baby R's arrivals are these two items from my mom and dad!
Of course...you must look past the girly bedding! :-)

Also we plan to get this matching dresser!
How lucky is this sweet baby that has yet to meet these amazing people?  I can't tell you how wonderful it feels to finally start seeing Baby R's little space come together.  NO, we have not yet made the room yet...but Thanks to our FAMILIES we are headed in the right direction.  Chris and I love you all so much and can't thank you enough for all your generosity!
