OH TIGER!!

Sweet Tiger gave us a little scare the day after Christmas!!  Okay so I probably could have done something sooner but I am not a normal pregnant person, lol.  I mean yes I have had a baby, however I never went into labor with my child!  When we had Miss H I was induced the day after my due date..for 2 days they did everything to make my labor go!  Needless to say I never dilated really so I never felt true contractions and such.  The only real reason Miss H was take out was because she did break my water early on day 2 of induction.  Now on to TIGER!!

Tiger has been a handful from the beginning!  From the fact that I lost 18 lbs in the first few weeks to needing meds to just eat a simple sandwich.  Well Tiger has now officially given me the true feelings of LABOR!  The day after Christmas is always fun for us girls in the family.  We all load up and head out to hit up the post Christmas sales.  As we were shopping I noticed some cramping in my stomach but nothing too bad.  I put it off to typical pregnancy issues, gas etc.  As the morning progressed the pain came and went.  Then come lunch time I was rushing around to get ready for a little high school get together and was feeling more pain.  Again I just figured I was hungry needed some lunch and all would be grand!

After lunch and heading out to meet up with friends I really began to hurt.  Not only was my stomach cramping but my back too.  I was trying to ignore it and just keep on doing stuff but it was bad.  Chris finally looked at me and asked me what was wrong.  Keep in mind it was about 5 pm by this time!

After explaining my issues to the family my sister suggest a nice tub and relaxing.  After enjoying a nice tub and trying to lay down I  still felt awful.  By this point I also wasn't really feeling Tiger move around much which always worries one.  However, around 7 pm I was now in the bathroom getting sick!  It was at this point I was forced by my mom and sister to call the dr number!  My sweet sister who has had 4 kids with some labor was like I think you are in labor!  I couldn't even believe it because no I don't do that!  I just have c-section babies!   After explaining my issues to the on call nurse she said we should head to the er!  UGH!!

My sweet mom took me, I didn't want Miss H up around all the germs plus it was now like 10 pm so she was snoozing it up.  I also didn't want Chris up there because he himself was kind of fighting a cold and if H woke up she would for sure freak out if we were both gone.   Mom and I arrived to the er where the guy looked at me like I had some crazy disease or something!  He said you are pregnant  I said yes, he said are you in labor?  I said well I don't know but I am in pain! Quickly he rushed me up to L&D!!  It was kind of funny how they acted as if I was going to just drop a baby out right there.

Once in L&D they got me all hooked up.  I explained my issues and no more than had I finish the gal said um yes we are going to get you a shot! I was impressed that within 5 minutes I was already getting meds….well that would be because my contractions were 1-2 minutes apart!  YIKES!!!  I said man is that why my back is killing me so dang bad! I was relieved once we got the monitors on Tiger to hear that heart going strong! After spending about 4 hours in L&D and getting 2 shots of terbutaline we were thankfully sent home.  Thanks to my sweet mom and sister for spending their night up there!

Honestly family is the best for things like this.  Now its a matter of drinking tons of water, being less active (which is so hard for me), and relaxing to keep this Tiger in!  Nothing like a little Preterm Labor to get you going!!!  Tiger you are full of many surprises and we hope that no more are seen until your deliver day Feb. 26th!!

Of course as we checked out of the hospital they handed me brochures and follow up info!  Ha ha ha if I had read that preterm labor one prior to this I would have totally been in the ER sooner, but I had no idea!  Lessons learned the hard way! Thank heavens I don't dilate because I think that is our saving grace as to why Tiger is staying put!

Time stood still......

and not in a good way! I have been heart broken the past two days by what happened on Thursday.  Every other Thursday Miss H and I head out for a couple of hours while the house gets really cleaned.  Normally I am packed up and ready to go so we don't get in Armenia's way.  This Thursday proved to be impossible...actually what I should have realized was that it was going to be a HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY!

Things were going great, I got showered while Miss H played in her saucer.  I was dressed and ready when I heard the sweet girl grunting.  Little did I realize that it was a pretty big one.  It was not until I had her laying down to change her that I saw it had exploded up her back....yikes!  No worries we had about 15 minutes.  Thus a quick bath was mandatory at this point.  She was in, cleaned, lotioned, dressed, and ready when Armenia arrived.  Then I realized I had forgotten to put my watch back on!  I take it off when bathing her because I feel like it may scratch her.  Anyway, I have Miss H and run in to the bathroom to put my watch on.

This is the MOMENT time stood still.... when Miss H kicked and my watch fell to the ground...the TILE ground. My wonderful, beautiful, amazing watch.  The watch my mom and dad gave me for my wedding gift!

Yes, that is now what my watch looks. SHATTERED. Isn't it sad...I hate to look at this picture!

No joke I wanted to cry the only reason I didn't is because Armenia was there...she was even heart broken for me.  I know this may seem silly to be so sad, but my watch means many things to me.  However, I rushed it straight to Trey (our jeweler).  He sent it in for me, then Chris made some phone calls to our insurance company.  Great news is......they will fix it for me!  Whewww, but now I look at my bare wrist and hope for it to return soon.  Don't even get me started on how the rest of the day went.  Let's just say it was not as bad as the "Petsmart bad day" but it was pretty bad!

Mail issues…

to say the least.  Okay I need to set the scene! We have a house where the mailbox is attached to our wall by the front door.  We don’t have a mailperson that drives up and and drops off our mail!  Instead “he” walks the route everyday.  (yes I am talking about MAIL--you know that you place a stamp on!)

Okay so picture you typical HOT STIFLING HOT 100 plus degree summer days.  If you have a mailperson that walks the route then you can imagine how they may feel.  Suddenly our mail started arriving, um…..WET!!  Yes you heard me correctly WET WET WET (like you dropped it in a puddle).  Therefore after a few weeks I had to make a call.  I found out some rather troubling news.  The mailman claims that the reason our mail is wet is well, SWEAT!  That is correct he is sweating on our mail the hole route.  He claims, since we are the last house on the 3 blocks…our mail sits on his arm from start to finish.  Thus no matter what he has tried he can’t keep it dry! (REALLLY!!)

(don’t judge me b.c I love trashy magazines…)DSC_0031-1

yes this is the magazine we received just last week  DSC_0034-1

REALLY!!! I don’t think Chris has even opened it yet…we are still letting these DRY OUT! HaDSC_0028-1

Completely disgusted by this news, Chris and I no longer can touch our mail the same. We now set all mail to the side, spread it out, and let it DRY OUT.

FAST FORWARD…..Now September, not 100 plus days and still our mail is arriving SOAKING WET??  I mean when we receive a bill, the envelope to return our payment in is already sealed due to his SWEAT! (I only wish I could make this stuff up)

This week though we had a small break through….we have a SUBSTITUE mailperson.  You will be pleased to know that all week our mail has arrived DRY DRY DRY!  Funny how this “sub” mailperson is able to not sweat on the mail.  Chris went ahead and made a phone call today.  He told them that he finds it interesting that our “sub” can bring us dry mail and yet our “regular” mailperson can not.

I know I am asking a ridicules question here but really there is no way to keep our mail dry, or in your BAG, until you get to our house!! REALLY!!

SEXMANIA UPDATE #2

Okay so the last update was that she got knocked up from all the sexcapades! You know my friends and I saw her and she was HUGE prego! Well just so happens that mom stopped in at my place on the way to El Campo.....

She saw the chick and was like "oh wow when are you due?" The girl goes, "what....oh the first of August." That's right people she is due like in DAYS!!! So I totally called this right, well then you will never believe what I saw.

I arrived home today to find this on their car!!!!

in case you can't read it....it says Mr. & Mrs. Mac

that's right folks...JUST MARRIED!

Who needs marriage then babies...I mean they have done it I guess in their own way. Mostly I just keep laughing at it all... Sadness, but not is that they move out this week. The newly married and mom and dad to be have found a place of their own. Looks like I soon will have new upstairs neighbors. Hopefully they will be a little less active above!

News from up above...

Okay so the past week or two has not been to normal we shall say....I have been in and out from my apartment so much too. The other day prior to heading to Amarillo I noticed the crazy sexy mania's people car had some interesting receipts in it. I then began to think to my self...yes JUMP JUMP JUMP to conclusions.

These two up above are straight out of college so in their early 20's we will say. Oh and they went to Abilene Christan (I think that adds to why the have crazy sex). Well the receipts I saw in their car are not ones that just 20 year olds have. They were from BABIES R US!! Okay so I immediately think OMG all that sex now a baby! Then as I am telling my friend she says, well maybe a friend is having a baby. Okay I would totally go with that but it was like 6 different receipts. No one buys 6 gifts for a friend....RIGHT? However, I still had no proof of anything.

Therefore on Friday my amazing friends wanted to cheer me up some, so we all took off for the pool. After the pool we headed to my apartment to shower. Just as we were walking out to the car the "sex people" pulled into the spot next to mine. (we have assigned parking) We loaded up the car and kind of waited around. They were not getting out....so as I pulled away I asked the girls to check out my theory. WOW! WOW! WOW! She is major PREGO! The girls think she looked at least 4-5 months along. I now know why I have not been hearing all the moaning, thumping, and more from up stairs. I was really hoping they were buying gifts for friends....but nope! I also heard from the front office that they are moving out here at then end of summer. Yes, because I don't think the room mate wants to live with a baby too!

The BREAK IN!!!

Well yesterday was an eventful one....and no events we would ever like to endure again! Chris is such a great puppy daddy, as he was making his mid morning break. He let Winston out at about 10:30 to potty. Then he put him back in his kennel and headed down the street to a meeting.

After his quick (and I mean quick) meeting he headed back home for lunch. Chris arrived home at 11:05 to notice things were not right. Chris saw that his bedroom window was completely broken out! Then he walked up to the front door to notice that it was WIDE OPEN! This is the point where he stopped and called the police....then sent me a text message.

The message said, "The house has been broken into again!" I am at lunch reading this and immediately freak out. (YES AGAIN....It was exactly 1 year ago that Chris first got broken into. He had just finish remolding his house; and we believe that is who broke in.) I of course immediately call CHRIS! He answers, and states that he has not gone in yet but does not hear Winston barking. MY HEART STOPS!!! The first thoughts that come to me are that they took him, hurt him, or let him go. You know I don't really care about all the stuff in the house but do my WINSTON.

The police were very speedy, they arrived within 5 minutes of Chris' call. They went into the house and secured it. Then Chris was allowed to enter and see what destruction was done. When Chris walked in the door WINSTON was sitting in his kennel and happy to see his dad. The intruders had taken and thrown BEER bottle at his kennel. I was devastated to hear he was treated in such a way. I mean no animal in a cage deserves to be treated that way...it is not like he could hurt them from in there. Chris quickly saved him from his kennel and held him while giving his report to the police.

Thankfully Winston was not hurt worse than living through the nightmare of the whole event. The intruders took a few things, but ran out of time as Chris came upon them. They (Chris believes it was 3 Jr. High Students...1 male and 2 female, in school uniforms) ran off with the lap top, digital camera, Chris' watch, my ear rings, Chris' gun, and a few other odds and ends. All in all we are very lucky that we only lost material items, all of which are very replaceable.

Since I was at school when Chris texted, I quickly ran home to check on all of my sweet boys at planning period (12:30). When I got home, sweet Winston ran to the door and wouldn't leave my side. He wanted to be held and comforted the whole time. Poor sweet Chris spent most of the time cleaning up the glass from the window. Then he began the inventory list of that was taken. The police told us they are stepping up patrol in the area. They will also be placing a few undercover cops around the neighborhood. I just continued to hold my sweet pup until I had to head back to school. From there Chris took over and finished up cleaning.

After school we packed the boys up and headed to my place. There was no way I was going to let them stay there, with a broken window and all. It was fun when we got to my place because it was the first time Winston met his sister Bob (my cat and I couldn't get a good pic sorry). Winston would just walk around and try to sniff Bob. Bob would look at him an meow...then Winston would take off in the other direction. Yes, Winston is SCARED of BOB. Poor Winston what a day for him.....bottles thrown at him, taken to my home, a cat thrown at him...what more could a dog take in a day!

Chris working so hard....and yes that is his Winston's kennel holding up the wood!

Winston looking sweet while helping daddy! (okay or letting daddy use his bed!)

Today we (Chris, Winston, and I) went to Lowe's and got a nice piece of plywood for the window. Chris found out it would take about 10 days before he could get a new window, so plywood it is. Both boys (Winston and Chris) loved the Lowe's trip and placing the wood on the house. Yes now we look like the WT neighbors....or as Chris said like we are preparing for a hurricane. Pretty sure no hurricanes will make it to Fort Worth anytime soon!

The finished product....and our new hurricane/wt look!
Hope the neighbors don't mine!
