Happy Thanksgiving!

The Turkey my class made to show what they are all thankful for!!!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!!  This year is Chris and I's FIRST year to do holidays MaRrIeD!!!  We are loving Thanksgiving in Minnesota with his family (okay not so much loving the bitter cold....but the company makes up for it).  Here are the top 3 things I have been most thankful for this year (it has been a busy year here):

  1. My Family: You guys are amazing, I would be nothing without each of you.  Your helpfulness this year with the wedding was overflowing!!!  I love that we got to enjoy a new memory together as a family.
  2. My HUSBAND: I am so happy to call you my husband this year.  It was wonderful planning our next phase together.
  3.  My "NEW" Family: Thank you so much for welcoming me with such open arms.  You all are the best family.  I am thankful that you are allowing me to join your thanksgiving feast.  You have even allowed some new of my thanksgiving goodies to enter your feast.  Thank you!!!
Again 3 things are not even close to what I could come up with...those are the 3 that have hit me the most this year. Of course we are all thankful to have a warm home, wonderful jobs, and great health.  Enjoy your TURKEY DAY!!

Why don't we do this?

I headed on up to Minnesota this week for Thanksgiving with my new hubby's family, Roberts and Co.  Besides the fact that it has been FREAKING COLD, life is good.  I mean last night I was a bit worried about arriving, due to the weather, however all worked out and I landed safe and sound.

Today we prepared for Thanksgiving dinner and headed out to the store.  First of all I have to say immediately I loved the store because they still used the "old" shopping carts.  You know the box type ones....that had the huge space underneath so you could sit there as a kid (That's where Riley spent her time!!)  Okay anyways...I am sure you don't want to talk about shopping carts all day.  We enjoyed shopping with our 2 carts of goodies.  Everyone took a list and headed off!!

HERE is the AMAZING part!!! Once you begin checking out, they place your items in bags.  The bags then are placed in a gray bin with a number on it.  Next they shove your "bin" of food through a door  ( similar to the luggage shoot at the airport).  You walk out with your receipt and number cards!  Next you get in the car and DRIVE THRU to get your groceries.

Byerly's the store I now LOVE!!
Timmy with our NUMBERS
All the food ready to go into the cars
time to load them up....
It is so neat that you don't have to freeze to death putting your groceries in your car.  Plus you get to warm the car up while they "load" your car.  I really think this is a neat idea.  I just wonder why in our MILLION DEGREE Texas heat we can't do this in the SUMMER!!!!  LOVE IT!

Happy 3rd Birthday Little B!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE B....Chris and I love you!!

I am one lucky AUNTIE...to have such a wonderful nephew.  He is such a mess (in a good way of course) that keeps his Auntie on her toes.  Thankfully I teach in a district that allows a WEEK off for Thanksgiving.  Thus I get to begin my break with a fun birthday weekend bash.  Today this sweet little guy is 3! I can't believe how the time flies.

Of course yesterday (B's favorite word) was his TRAIN party!  He loves choo choo trains.  Of course my sister did an AMAZING job as normal.  Here are a few of the pics...Abby will post tons more later of course.
The train crayons Abby made for all the good bags.

The pre party train ride...look even Pa Pa got in!

As always...his amazing cake that looks just like his invitation.

All the kids ready for the train ride!  All aboard!!!

Look at this HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOY

Poor baby!!!

Little Bear at the ER
I know that I am not close by but still I feel so helpless.  I can only imagine how my dear sister feels.  Little Bear has been sick for a week now.  At first it was just not feeling good...then the throwing up....then the ER visit.  They thought that on Sunday morning when they headed out to the ER (on Little Bear's request) she would feel better.  After some test it was determined she was just dehydrated.  Then after a while with an iv, home they went.  Now today she had her follow up appointment with her pediatrician.  Poor baby has pneumonia.  I hate that she is so sick.  I know how bad it is to be sick sick, since I recently was.  However pneumonia is serious  I mean it has to suck.  I wish that I could help make her feel better.  Thankfully I am heading down on Friday to EC for B's 3rd birthday...but I hope Little Bear is better by then.  I hate that there is nothing you can do when little ones are sick but WAIT it out!  I know my sister is sad by all this too. No one wants there baby to be sick, or to feel helpless.
LITTLE BEAR, we love you and want you WELL now!!!  I want to see this smiling face as soon as possible...Love Auntie, Chris, Winston, and Bob Bob!

5 Days till

THANKSGIVING BREAK!!!  I am so excited to have a break.  Life has been so busy lately.  I mean I don't think I can remember a weekend where I wasn't going non stop.  However, in 5 days I will be carefree for a WEEK.  Okay maybe carefree is a bit of stretch, but at least I will get a week off from work.  Some time to regroup and head back for about 3 weeks, then Christmas break.  Okay have I stared stressing y'all out by talking about how close Christmas is?  Sorry.

No Thanksgiving break has always been such a blast.  My family kicks it off with 2 birthdays....first Little Monkey's 3rd birthday then my mom.  We will all head done to the big EC on Friday for Little Monkey's birthday.  Then I will hang out till Monday.  On Monday I will head up to Minnesota for Thanksgiving with Chris' family.  This is our FIRST HOLIDAY as a married couple.  We have chosen Thanksgiving with his family and Christmas with mine.  Of course this means that Chris will have to do BLACK FRIDAY shopping with me.  I am a bit stressed out about BLACK FRIDAY....since it is a new area and such.  Don't worry Chris has already helped me plan the best area to hit with all my "needed" stores.

Now we just have to make it till FRIDAY, then the fun begins!!!  YIPPEE!!!  I love the holidays and can't wait to begin our new traditions as a married couple.

Birthday week...and gifts

Well Chris' birthday week has been going on for a bit!  Last night we headed to his favorite place for dinner, Benihana.   Not only did Chris and I get to enjoy his birthday dinner, but my dad was in town too!  It was super fun, Chris even did a little dancing!!!

Oh did I mention that he got his birthday gift from me too!!!  Sadly I had to give it to him a bit early due to the size.  I mean how do you hide a box the size of your love seat??  Kind of tough!  Here he is opening it up.

Here is what his gift will look like once it is put together.  Isn't it so CUTE!!
I don't want to forget to mention his gift from the Goerig's that he got  while we were with them.  He loved it...it is a new weed eater (in a Home Depot gift card, HA)

Thanks to all who helped make his BIRTHDAY WEEK wonderful.  HAPPY 30th Birthday hubby...hope you had a blast!

Happy Birthday to you!!

Christopher you are the love of my life! I am so thankful to be your wife!  I can not believe that we have come so far since our first meeting in 2005.  I still remember our first date like yesterday.  You know the one on Tuesday night to The Keg (before you knew my dislike for STEAK).   Thankfully you didn't hold my non steak eating ways against me and we went out again!  Finally on date NINE you decided to KISS me too!!!  What a lucky girl I was....such a gentleman waiting for the right moment to make his first move.

After that moment I knew dating you would be much different than any of those stinky boys in of the past.  You, Christopher, are the missing piece to me....the part that makes me whole!  Your love for life is just one of the many qualities I love about you. Actually I could list 1000 plus things I love....but for time sake (and lot's of thought about this post in the future) I will list one for each year of our marriage!

We have now been married 4 months....thus this year you get ONE!
This is the way you make me feel....happy all over, just glowing with love!!
  1. I love how you are planned, but spontaneous too!

You can't win them all....

but you sure would always like to!!!  This weekend Chris and I headed down to good old College Station for the OU game.  My sister and brother in law are both AGGIES and have some wonderful season tickets.  I was super jazzed. However  I know Chris was not 100% thrilled, as he doesn't love either team...but was a wonderful husband and cheered on the SOONERS!!! (thanks sweetie)

The weekend was a blast and flew by too fast!!!  I love getting to hang out with family, plus I had never gone to AGGIE LAND for a football game.  Of course Little Bear showed us around and gave me the play by play on what to expect.  You see she and B have become Aggie football experts.  B likes LOVES Aggie football.  He is probably the cutest thing to watch and listen to.  We headed to the game ealier enough to enjoy all the "kid zone" activities.  Of course we had a blast even if my SOONERS couldn't pull off a W this weekend.  Those Aggie people we were with were OVERJOYED to say the least.  Here are some pics to recap our weekend, enjoy.

Winston ready to head to the puppy hotel!

Here we are enjoying a little fun in the hotel room before the game.  The kids were showing Chris and I their "football" moves.  Did I mention that my sweet nephew B travels with at least 4 footballs (in his own pull along suite case) and a tee to kick them off of!

Doing what he loves....kicking the "tootball"

Our first college game together...that is actually at the game!

Mommy and Little Bear, so stinking cute!

The whole family just before the game!  What a great pic...can't you tell I was totally killing them!

of course the smiles are after the family pic...stinker

Like father like son...they have the same face! Classic!!!
