Watch me grow, Week 32
Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 32 Weeks
Size of the baby: Baby R is now the size of a squash. He/She weighs in at 3.8 ounces and is 16.7 inches long! Our sweet baby is growing like a weed these days.
Total Weight Gain/loss: Thus far 27 lbs as of our last visit! Yes, I know I am gaining tons of weight...mom will be on me! What is sad is now I bet I am HUGE because of the great Thanksgiving feast we had.
Maternity Clothes: Of course I am 32 weeks pregnant for gosh sakes. Plus Teri and I had some fun shopping for some new ones while I was in town.
Gender: SURPRISE!! We are not going to find out till Baby R arrives in January!
Movement: Moving and a grooving over here. Baby R likes to really stretch out in there from time to time...no my favorite!
Sleep: Sleeping like a champ! I can not complain a bit as I still sleep wonderfully at night.
What I miss: My sweet ankles....with all my traveling this past week my ankles seem to be taking a toll. Fat feet are not very becoming! I am hoping they will get back under control this week now that we will be home again!
Cravings: No need for cravings when you have tons of food from Thanksgiving to eat!
Symptoms: Swelling....as mentioned above. My feet and fingers are getting a bit fat! YIKES
Best moment this week: Being with both of our families! I love spending time with everyone and letting them "feel" the baby!

Happy Birthday sweet boy!
Our very shaggy little birthday boy! |
Since Winston's birthday always happens over Thanksgiving we did a little pre-party at our house last Friday night. Here he is getting his new birthday cake! His cake sings Happy Birthday, which he was not so sure about at first!
Here is a fun little comparison for those of you who like that!

Thanksgiving Break
The Roberts' Clan! |
This Thanksgiving was just as wonderful as the past. I always begin with a quick trip to the Big EC! Brooks and Mom share a birthday every year! This year Brooks had the cutest Golf party because he was turning FOUR! I of course didn't get any pics....I seem to be sucking at pictures these days. However, once Abby blogs I will be sure to show you some! After a very quick 3 days in EC I flew out to good old FREEZING Minnesota!
Chris and I have gone to Minnesota the last 2 years. Let me begin this by saying I am not a huge fan of Minnesota at WINTER time....last year it was like below 0 or something awful. However, this year the "Minnesota powers that be" must have known I the PREGO lady who has no winter coat would be visiting. Actually the weather man said it was 50 degrees warmer this year than last year! WHOO WHOO!! Not only was the weather nice, but we had the best fun. Thanksgiving was a blast. Chris' parents invited over some close friends....who were a blast! We had some amazing food and great stories.
Note, picture over load to follow.....
Then to top off our trip we had headed to the club for our annual gingerbread house party. We love this event! It is such a blast to sit around and try to be as creative as possible....This year Riley and I worked on one together. Chris and Steve worked on one together also. Riley and I had a blast working together as we watched the boys try to create new ideas. Don't worry Riley and I think our house rocks!
Here is the house Steve and Chris worked on!
Here is the one that Riley, Teri, and I worked so hard on!

Watch me grow, Week 31
How Far Along: 31 Weeks
Size of the baby: Wow are we really already at 31 weeks! YIKES!! Baby R is keeping steady with height and weight...17 inches 3.5 lbs!
Total Weight Gain/loss: Thus far 25 lbs as this weeks visit! Yikes, mom will die when she reads this.
Maternity Clothes: ☺ um yeah...still a fatty over here so of course I am wearing maternity clothes! HA
Gender: SURPRISE!! We are not going to find out till Baby R arrives in January!
Movement: My oh my does our baby move! It has just begun the moving hard enough to make my stomach move phase. I will occasionally catch the stomach poking out as the baby is kicking, such an interesting thing!
Sleep: Sleeping like a champ! I can not complain a bit as I still sleep wonderfully at night.
What I miss: Walking normally, just this week Chris was kind enough to tell me I waddle! Yikes, I never wanted to be that girl that waddles...but I guess no matter how hard you try you just can't help it!
Cravings: Nothing much this week!
Symptoms: A little worn out. By about Thursday I am getting pretty tired and ready for the weekend to just chill.
Best moment this week: Listening to sweet Baby R's heart beat. Also, scheduling ALL of my Dr. appointments for the rest of the pregnancy. I can't believe that at all!

More goodies
Baby R got more goodies, this time from my Sweet Lily B family! My school hosted a baby shower for me and Baby R. They are so sweet and really showed us the love. Here are a few pictures of our goodies that now fill Baby R's room!

Baby R's new space
After many months of planning our sweet baby's room, I finally made some decisions. There were a few challenges in our decision making....our house has very dark brown trim and it is everywhere! Then I wanted the room to look bigger than it well is! HA! It only took 2 weekends and 2 trips to the store, but we have finished the painting portion of Baby R's room.
Chris and I began the task a weekend before my mom arrived to help us finish. Mostly because I knew I wanted to do stripes on our walls...and that they take some time! Thus we thought we would get a jump start by at least painting the base coat on the wall. Poor Chris I think this was the moment he realized that his "bachelor pad" was officially a family home! Here he is saying GOOD BYE to what he worked so hard to renovate...pre-Emily!
Here it is with our first coat on the walls! It looks so different, but I so far so good! We lived with the room like this for about a week. Then mom arrived to help us get those silly stripes up! I had done much "pintresting" (my own word for it!) looking for the right ideas. I showed my mom my ideas and away we went!
Let the good times roll! Here we are starting our first stripe....then we moved on. Note to self...older homes make putting stripes on wall a bit challenging! I think after a few small issues here and there mom and I rocked those dang stripes!
Okay, this is just a rough picture of the strips...but what do you know, they turned out JUST LIKE I had pictured in my mind! I can't believe how great the room is looking. You know when you have something in mind but it doesn't work out just right. Well thankfully this time it is PERFECT! Mom is a life saver, and the best dang painter around!
After we got most of the painting done we had another LARGE task to do. Our bed and dress that my parents bought Baby R were in and needed to be picked up. Seeing as we don't have a truck, I did a little sweet talking to my friends boyfriend. Chad is the best...he met us at the store and helped Chris carry it all in. They were hilarious to listen to as they carried in the dresser! Thanks Chad!
Since we were still finishing up some touches on the wall the crib and dresser hung out in the living room! Mom commented that it was a good thing our TV was up high...or we wouldn't be able to see a thing! HA, they took up any free space we had out there!
What's next, well of course putting the crib together! I am so grateful to know that Baby Cache loves their product enough to package it really, really, really well! Chris no so excited since we had to find somewhere for all that packaging to go!
Winston and Chris did a great job of taking everything out! The local school will be please that we helped them out with their recycling mission too!
Baby R's room before any thing is placed in it! Don't you love Bob's door to the bathroom...that is to keep a certain someone (Winston) from going in and eating all of her food! The little punk!
Let the good times roll....as we began to put the crib up. I was very impressed that it only took us about an hour to put it all together. There was not even a single bad word said, which is very impressive! I am really pleased with how it all looks.
Chris telling Winston what they needed to do first. Winston loves to help put stuff together. However, I think he was also very confused. You see he is not normally allowed in this room because it is Bob's room. Now the door is open and he doesn't know what to do! He knows we are up to something fishy over here.

This guy spent the day out working in the yard with his dad! He loves bathing in the sun. |
Please ignore my outfit...it's hard to find clothes you don't love and fit in to paint in! |

Look I know its amazing I even helped put it together...ha ha I always laugh because I look like I do nothing, since I am the picture taker. The baby will this it's father did it all!
Here is where we stand today! We have the bedding on the bed, but that is really it. I am waiting a while to hang things on the wall just to make sue the walls are 100% dry. Plus I still need to figure out storage for our little ones room.
