BAHAMAS….our second paradise

Chris and I made it to the Bahamas with no problems…oh other than the fact that his golf clubs missed the flight!  We had a very easy check in at the Sandal’s desk then were told that our car was on its way.  Yes…Chris got us the VIP treatment for our honeymoon.  We got treated like QUEENS and KINGS.  We were picked up by a limo and taken away to our new home for the next 6 days.

 

  Quickly we were met by one of our butlers, Melissa, who showed us every part of the resort.  She explained what each restaurant was and how we were to dress.  Then she took us to our little bungalow, pop open some champion! On the bed was all the info we needed for the week…they had even made all our dinner reservations for us.  (Chris had placed them online and they booked it) Then she asked if we wished for anything else, and stepped out to let us settle in.  We did just that….unpacked all our bags and hit the beach.

  

For the first two days we asked our butler Melissa to put our chairs out at the beach.  It was so wonderful to know you didn’t need to rush out get your spot then got back and eat breakfast or what ever.  Chris and I ordered room service for breakfast every day…WONDERFUL is all I can say to that.  They brought all that we asked for even if it wasn’t on the menu.  Our honeymoon pretty much was

R&R  everyday!!

 

This was our pass to anything we wanted…just push the button and Perez or Melissa had it for you!!

 

    

The rest of the days we asked our Perez to set up our chairs at the quiet pool.  What a wonderful life…ask for it and you get it!  LOVE THAT!!  We ate at all the wonderful restaurants. I think my favorite as far as food was the Italian one the first night.  Then my favorite as far as setting was Gordon's on the pier…come on you site in the ocean at sun set!!!

During the day we lounged at the pool or beach…and at night we watched the sunset.  They had some fun entertainment too.  The comedian was probably the best.  He made both of us laugh a lot!  There was a piano bar too, which was neat.  You would sit at the piano and then have a song book. The pianist would call out the number everyone would find the song and SING!!  Pretty funny to listen to; we enjoyed a good laugh there too.  Other than that we just had a ball.

On Wednesday we went into town in the morning.  We too the local bus, which was fun.  It cost a whole $2.50 for us both to ride to town….then we did some shop, shop, shopping! We went into all the little shops and just enjoyed the day in town.

This became Chris’ favorite slogan all week….Ha!!

 

After shopping we were hungry….thankfully Perez our AMAZING butler left us some cheese and crackers!  Then we head back to our spot, the beach chairs.  We also did some kayaking too.  Chris enjoyed catching some speed and just checking out the area.  He was a pretty good captain too.   Thursday was reserved for snorkeling.  Now there were some beautiful fish out there.  The water is so clear it makes snorkeling very easy.  We got some great pics, Chris even did a video I’ll post that in a bit…

   

We were so sad when it was SATURDAY!  That meant it was time to head home…BOOOOOO!!!  Although it will be nice to see our pup and cat I still was so sad to leave.  Chris and I enjoyed every single minute of our honeymoon.  We loved having some time together and well just hanging out.  I can’t wait till we go back…(hint hint hint Chris).
